Nice! Garret Jones is in PP '07, is he not in '08?

nope hes not in 2008 but he was a minor league 1B for the Twins in 2007

He kind of reminds me of Chris Davis in 2008, David could've easily hit 30 homeruns if he played the whole 2008 season, plus he's a 1B who strikes out alot

and Jones could've very easily hit 30 homeruns in 2009 if he played the whole season, plus he's a 1B who strikes out alot(but he's mainly a right fielder now though)

NICE! Being a Pirates fan, I am very pleased. This is perfect, his stats are just like his play. If anything, his primary position is actually 1st base. That's a great job, Jacobye46.

so technically, per his Wiki page, Jones was still in the Twins system for 2008. So I'm going to put him on my Twins arrange team, for when I finally (someday) have all the updated rosters and can begin a real, true 2008 season.

Probably around June 2010, when all these guys are done for the wii. :D

Thanks letsgobucs

Ya when I edited him from a player and put him on the Pirates I made him a 1st basemen but apparently the Pirates are using him as a right fielder(and using Pearce at 1st base which is the opposite of what I'm doing because I have Pearce in right and Jones at 1B)

And I think I put up Andrew McCutchen today after I make him

and Alloutwar I'm not 100% sure if Jones was on the Twins system in early 2008 but he probably was

Why do a 2008 season when you can do a 2009 season?

And you don't have to create each player through success you know. Just edit everyone and change the retired guys to rookies.

Buried somewhere a few pages back on the Season forum, I have a list of missing players and the players you should edit to get their correct age.

I'm not sure I get it - you take an existing player, and edit them, and save them on your arrange team...

does that overwrite the existing player? Or can you save it seperate without overwriting the original player?

And if you delete your arrange team, they're gone?

Once you save your arrange team, you can restore the original player but keep the new guy on the arrange team. And yeah, they're gone when you delete the arrange team.

Yep. If you were so inclined, you could turn Justin Upton into an entire arrange league full of young position players.

Okay, that sounds like it might save me a lifetime of trouble.

But...it just seems too easy. After Eric Davis and Rob Hallett posted all those created players...I just want people to be able to enter them all, you know? And not worry about deleting their arrange team and losing all that work. Especially since you can speed thru Success mode in like 45 mins and have a guy done (esp. hitters).

How would that work for guys I wanted to be free agents? Bartolo Colon, Clemens, etc? I could arrange them and then release them, I guess - but I couln't just add them to the free agent pool. So those guys would have to be made via success.

So I'll do a few more - Clemens, Colon, maybe Fossum or Bruce Chen.

Then maybe a few pitchers I really want to do - Kershaw, JA Happ maybe.

Then I will arrange the rest. I still want to keep making the players via success, until that wiki is all filled out with them...

Why spend an hour making J.A. Happ in Success Mode when you can make him exactly the way you want in 3 minutes using Jeremy Bonderman?

Because it is more fun to do it through success mode. But yes, it is much more efficient to do it through player Edit, especially if you are doing the whole league.
