Turned out to be a pretty good hitter as well as a good pitcher. You could follow my log in the success post and should be able to make a character like this. THe problem is it takes a long time reloading. On the last game I could have reloaded after I failed the gamble to move the SIFB to level 7, but decided not to. Other then that he is a gyroball pitcher with every pitching ability and many hitting abilities. He hit 3 home runs in the final game (2 off Stitch). http://s376.photobucket.com/albums/oo204/hockeyrama1/vic%20sp/?action=view¤t=vicpw.jpg |

Okay, you are insane. Can you clone yourself and send clones throught the US so I can get help for this? In exchange, I'll give you tips from my friend who placed 2nd in a local Madden Nation tournament to try to be on the show. He won't tell me, but I think I can get them out of him. ![]() |

Thank you for the compliment , I think (insane?). Actually, all it took was patience. A while back I looked at Smileys log and said hey if I take my time and save/reload I could make a character with any start great, just takes time. He started at 77mph, with standard skills and yet by reloading RE's, games and events received almost every pitching ability without gambling for them. This left all the points available for everything else. Did take many hours to complete and actually at the end I should have reloaded the last game after I did not get the level 7 sld when I boosted on the end screen. Was just getting too tired. The next character I made and you will see is a no save/reload character called madelsp. Still ended up with some cool abilities and a 102 mph gyroball but no hitting skills and only 1 level 7 pitch. Then I did a CF/RF as hitters are easy to max out compared to pitchers. Don't think I will do anohter full pitchers for a while. |

Awesoem player. You really need to sell yoruslef to be cloned or something. Do all us hard-playing power-pro users a favor! ![]() ![]() |

That's what I said! The average human is only worth about $4. However, since you're special, I'll buy your clone for $9.95. Deal...or no deal? ![]() |

Wait, we have a bank offer for $7.50! ![]() But he's worth more than that! He's a parent, so what would his daughter do? She can't play PP endlessly, she has to go to school at some point! |

Okay, uh, back on topic: How do you make all these maxxed-out players without going nuts? How do you have the patience? |

I work on the players after everyone goes to bed. My kids (5 and 2 (boys doesn't play obviously) go to bed before my wife and she goes to bed by 9. I play after they crash as I like to be up late. With no distractions and a nice quiet evening I can relax by playing and taking my time until I feel I can go to bed. Making the characters is my version of reading a book at night. So I am in no rush to finish the character. I go for awhile when I feel I can go to sleep Then save and continue the next day. The quiet atmoshpere is the key. The few times I tried to play during the day when my kids were up I was horrible and if I continued like that the characters would have been very bad. The other thing is I have a general plan and no specific plan. I reload to get an event or a game or something to work but general role without ever the game gives me for options the next turn (this way I am not worried about the progress). I just pick something each turn and reload to get that to work. Not alot of thought involved. |

If you don't mind me asking, how long do you usually spend playing each night? |
