Post subject:  #24 Anthony Greahn - Greahn - R - 3-Quarters (T.Wakefield)

Indianapolis Stallions Press Release
S.F. Goldman in his infinite wisdom continues to buy up the stars of the league, but this reporter is not so sure about his latest recruit. The Stallions have acquired in the latest negotiations Anthony Greahn. In his prime Greahn had the best knuckle ball in the league and was considered the most intimidating pitcher to go up against. Now, Greahn is 36 and has lost some of his steam, intimidation, and most of all his confidence although he hides it quite well. He used to be quite in control of himself, but between the hot headedness and lack of control on 3-0 and 3-1 counts, he hasn’t done very well of late. So, much so that Greahn can’t even pitch into late innings anymore without blowing it. He has become quite the “Choke Artist”. In a positive note, again Greahn is all about the confidence, give him 2 strikes and he will put you down. Goldman was quoted yesterday saying “With the price that I paid for this ‘Star’, he’s gotta be good!” Well, Mr. Goldman, I believe you will be sadly disappointed once you learn about this pitcher’s issues. You better get your bullpen ready.

As for Greahn’s recent fall from grace, I believe Greahn’s ladies man attitude is the reason for the downfall. He has been working so hard on trying to hook up with the ladies that all he does is develop bad habits. Recently he was seen with Emily Young at the lake, and the next game he walked 8 batters. He was also seen hitting on Izzy at the steakhouse. He upset her so bad that she snuck some hot peppers into his steak. Now, he can’t even close a game without blowing it. I even heard that he tried to get some advice about the ladies from his AAA roommate Sittch, and all that did was tick him off.

Don’t misunderstand me about Greahn. He is still a good knuckleball pitcher and one of the best if not the best fielding pitchers in the league. He is good to the fans, always willing to sign autographs. He donates regularly to local charities and he is also willing to talk to the media. Anthony is a good-hearted fellow. He just currently doesn’t know what he wants, to play baseball or settle down and have a family.

Nice job. Just curious is there an event where sittch gives you advice about the ladies?

No, but who knows what else they talk about during the event he gives you hothead. Basically, I just used the hothead event to add spice to my post.

I haven't gotten the hothead event because I haven't made a pitcher yet. Can you summarize it?

1. Thanks. It showed that camera angle down the line and I was so relieved when it was fair. That's only the 2nd run I've ever scored against him, so it's a big deal for me.

2. I'll get us on topic after this

3. I didn't make it yet.

Nice player SF96, I have a B,B, pitcher too (getting back to my STB topic), but not nearly as good as him. Good job!! (no pun intended)

Ummm... Off-Topic:

Just beat Jonathan with a WALK-OFF HOMER in the bottom of the ninth with 2 outs!!! First real Walk-Off Homer in my life! And after the game I didn't even get Walk-Off Hitter! Why am I ending each sentence with an exclamation point!

I made a pitcher (E. Snyder) and got the Hot Head ability from the shuriken event.
(Hot Head is a funny ability)

Yeah there are only a few "Hot Heads" in the 2008 game
-Curt Shilling
-Kyle Farnsworth
-Kenny Rogers
-Rich Harden
-Daniel Cabrea

They are the same in 2007...
But now we are off topic, so lets stop this conversation....
