Post subject:  #21 Dwayne Poighter - Cannon - R - OH (K. Foulke) - Brkg Snk

Indianapolis Stallions Press Release
Sweet! What a deal! The Stallions have spent many hours (~10) in deliberation with the agent for Dwayne Poighter. Dwayne was originally spotted at the Iowa 1-A High School State Tourney playing for the eventual champs, North Sentral Kossuth. He was thought to be a power closer with his cannon like right arm, but after his couple of years in minor league ball has developed into a #1 starter. Because of his long hours of practice and his passion for his wife Emily, he has developed some pretty awesome pitches, including his original breaking sinker, which is soooooooo sweet, the press has named it “Candy”. Now “Cannon”, named so because of his powerful right arm, does have some weaknesses, if you want to call them that. He does have some control problems with his fastball as it can move inside or outside at will. Also, although nicknamed Cannon, he is not that intimidating, giving way to more gruff looking pitchers, like “Lancelot”. Dwayne does have some off the field issues with gambling and extra marital relationships, especially with his once thought girlfriend Lucy. Hopefully, Dwayne will mature and become one of Major League Baseballs most Powerful Pros in the game!

How did you get Shuuto Spin?

I just posted that on the how to get abilities thread. You know where you got the MLB game with Marvin and the foul ball is coming your way. If you stand there (by answering don't move), the ball will curve away from you and land in your food. You brag about being able to see the spin; therefore, knew it wasn't going to hit you. Marvin puts you back in your place, pointing out the mess that it made of your food. It then gives you Shuuto spin, randomly of course.

Post subject:  #25 Brad Pickler - Pickler - Left - Overhand (#20) - None

Indianapolis Stallions Press Release
In an unprecedented move by the Indy Stallions, they have traded away next years first round draft picks to the Toronto Blue Jays for just some middle relief. Specializing as a swing man or in long relief efforts, Brad Pickler was acquired late last night in what should have been a couple hour negotiations, but if you know anything about Pickler, he isn’t easy. Pickler has a little veteran experience with 3 years under his belt. He also is a lot older than his counterparts due to the fact he played through a couple of years of college for Stanford University. Brad enjoyed the minors quite a bit chasing after his heart throb Patty, but eventually losing her due to his passion and dedication for baseball. The only thing this reporter sees going for the newly acquired reliever is his ability to actually field the ball and hit it into play; otherwise, this guy isn’t worth what the Stallions gave up. Although with a low ERA and a guy who is just plain “Lucky”, maybe the Stallions do know what they are doing. What Pickler said last night after agreeing to the trade, “I am the real Dill, Baby!” might have been a slip of the tongue as I believe he meant to say “Real Deal”. Of course we all know, Brad isn’t the most intelligent of the players, but then again, knowing Brad, that is probably what he meant to say.

Not really my idea, I believe it is DarkShade's and his team, "Glenridge Posse" which are the original real "Dill" (see previous post about Pickler). Also, I got the idea of doing it from the forum rules for Password Exchange which I am sure DarkShade had something to do with, "If you post a team or a set of players, add players by editing your starting post so they're all in the same post. A bump to announce the edit is appropriate." I know this is his second game for creating the 'Posse, but for some reason I want to say they existed way before 2007 MLBPP. You might want to ask him under his topic. I have linked his 2008 team in the previous text.

Thanks though for the kind words!

Post subject:  #22 Tyler Rexan - T-Rex - L - Submarine (#1) - Changing CB

Indianapolis Stallions Press Release
In one of the most underhanded moves in recent sports management, the Stallions front main man, S.F. Goldman, has recruited right out from under the Thunder. Goldman has gone after the #1 pitching recruit coming out of the minor leagues, Tyler Rexan; otherwise known as, “T-Rex”. Tyler began his great career at one of the most prestigious high schools in the US, Stuyvesant, known for its science and math department. During his grade school years, Tyler studied the mechanics of baseball pitching and determined the submarine is the least stamina losing motion to the plate. Also, during his study he was able to perfect the “Chomp”, computing speed and delivery models for getting batters out. Yes, Tyler is a baseball “Brainiac”. Because of this complete understanding of the science of baseball; Tyler has become one of the fiercest and most intimidating pitchers on the mound. In his final game against the Sharks in the minor leagues, T-Rex threw a 1-hit shutout, just missing the perfecto. After the game, Tyler commented “Git R' Done”. Some other notables to reference, Tyler recently got married to his minor league girlfriend, Lucy (different than those other MLBPP Lucy’s, doesn’t even look the same). Tyler loves Chinese food and spending time in down town New York City doing a little detective work, mainly looking for dogs, and apparently watching Larry the Cable Guy.

Post subject:  #05 Adam Tsao - Tsao - Standard (S.Hairston) - 2B, SS, LF

Indianapolis Stallions Press Release
Back to normalcy and some experience, the Stallions finally recruit someone that has actually played some baseball. With 4 years under his belt in college, 2 years in the minors, and 8 in the majors for the Cards, Adam Tsao joins the Stallions playing second base. Adam is one of the premier fielding second basemen in the league, known for turning two. During high school, Adam worked on his pitching, but never really established any pitches or control; therefore, moved to second base and has been there ever since. Adam’s origin traces back to Japan, but he was born and raised in Florida after his parents immigrated to the USA in the early 70’s. Adam is very proud of his heritage and still focuses on abilities taught by the Japanese baseball leagues. You can definitely see the Japanese flair when Adam plays. Adam hasn’t settled down yet, most likely due to his shyness. Once, he did approach Emily, but ran away after seeing a dog terrorizing her. Adam spends most of his time listening to CD’s, reading books, and of course practicing baseball.

How'd you get intimidator?

Lucy's dating arc. First you have to of asked here to be your girlfriend by the 3rd week of december. If you give her a present (I usually give her the expensive handbag, so don't know results giving any other gift) during the 3rd week (you have to go see her), then agree to go shopping with her. As long as you max her likable meter out. You should get intimidator.

The part I do not know which some people say is that you have to beat Jonathan the two games, or at least the second one. So, if you win every game, then you don't have to work about it. I would say at least win both Jonathan games and the sharks games to get you to the last game (that one doesn't matter).

Then at the end Lucy will give you intimidator.

I haven't created anyone for this team in quite a while (10 days), so this thread is going to be paused, until I get back at it. I am currently working on a genius pitcher, and then I will be making a pitcher for Longball.

I did all of that. I got max likeability meter, got her to be a "Special Person".Gave the handbag for christmas, and bought her stuff at the store. She didn't give me a single ability and only a few junk items in the whole time I dated her.
