So, i added two expansion teams into the MLB, the Minneapolis River Kings, playing in the AL Central, and the Scranton Raptors, playing in the NL East. The River Kings are full of success players, and the Raptors are composed of edited players, made to be bad, and the 3 players that AgentP submitted in the other topic. So, time to review the two expansion teams. Minneapolis River Kings AL Central AVG TRJ: 2.4 AVG CON: D(8.0) AVG PWR: D(119.7) AVG RSPD: D(8.0) AVG ASTR: D(8.3) AVG FLD: D(8.5) AVG TSPD: 94.4 AVG CTRL: D(131.2) AVG STAM: B(112.5) AVG BRKBALL COUNT: 8.6 Key Players SP Richard Dickinson 100 D(125) A(164) 4PALM 6ORIG (SNK) SP Masahiro Okada 95 C(143) A(175) 22SFB 5ORIG (CB) 4VSLD DH Damien Marrero 4 D(9) A(233) D(8) C(11) B(12) C(10) LF Johnny Bacon 3 C(10) A(187) D(8) E(6) D(8) E(7) Stadium Golden Apples Stadium LF: 300FT LCF: 370FT CF: 430FT RCF: 370FT RF: 300FT The River Kings play in a symmetrical park called Golden Apples Stadium. The field has a grass surface and will come to be known for its very deep CF. It could be either a pitcher's park, or a hitter's park depending on what kind of hitters there are. If the pitcher gives up lots of hits to CF, it could be a pitcher's park, because the ball will stay in the park to center almost indefinitely. However, this stadium is a pull hitter's dream easily. Expect to see Marrero and Bacon light up the scoreboard with frequent home runs in 2014. Next is the Raptors update! |

It has very short dimensions, so groundball pitchers will be very useful here. Hitter's like Martinez and Kevin Jones will have to capitalize at home and use their power to their team's advantage and they'll have to be a high-scoring team. |

My stats for the players are a bit overpowered on every player though. PM me if you want them still. |

Opening Day April 2nd, 2014 Astros: 0 Athletics: 2 W - Sonny Gray 1-0 0.00 ERA L - Scott Feldman 0-1 1.29 ERA S - Sean Doolittle (1) Oakland -- The Athletics resumed right where they left off at the end of 2013, playing good ball. Sonny Gray was dominant for the Athletics tonight throwing a gem, coming one out from a shutout on Opening Day! He threw 8 and 2/3 of an inning striking out 11 batters, allowing only 4 hits, 2 of them being infield hits. On the other hand, Scott Feldman was quite dominant as well for the Astros, not allowing a run until the 8th inning when he allowed singles from Crisp and Lowrie and then coming out with the runners inherited on 1st and 2nd. Only one of them ended up scoring on an RBI single by Cespedes. Cespedes and Brandon Moss were the main production of the Athletics in tonight's game tallying up 5 hits and 2 runs batted in. Villar, Hoes, Singleton, and DeShields Jr. added up for the only 4 hits for Houston. Notables Josh Donaldson 2-4 2B Brandon Moss 3-4 RBI Sonny Gray W 8.2IP 4H 11K 0R 0ER L.J. Game 2 vs. Houston Astros April 3rd, 2014 Houston: 2 Oakland: 8 W - Scott Kazmir 1-0 1.17 ERA L - Mike Foltynewicz 0-1 12.00 ERA Oakland -- Boy, oh boy. The Swinging A's sure lived up to their nickname tonight. They took the lead in the third after Donaldson doubled and Cespedes singled him in. The Astros bounced right back though in the 4th scoring a run on a Robbie Grossman single. In the bottom half of the fourth though, the A's blew up for 5 runs off of a singles and doubles rally mainly powered by D-No and Coco. The A's scored two more in the seventh off of an RBI double by Callaspo and an RBI single by Crisp. The Astros scored one more run off of Ryan Cook in the ninth inning thanks to an RBI single by DeShields Jr. Kazmir looked very sharp striking out 10 through 7 and 2/3 giving up 1 run. Foltynewicz, on the other hand, was the opposite of sharp throwing 3+ innings giving up 11 hits and 4 runs en route to a loss in his MLB debut. Game 1 vs. Los Angeles Angels April 4th, 2014 Los Angeles: 0 Oakland: 1 W - Jarrod Parker 1-0 0.00 ERA L - Hector Santiago 0-1 2.08 ERA Oakland -- Jarrod Parker was absolutely phenomenal from the moment he have up a lead-off single to Mike Trout to open the game. After giving up a hard hit on the first pitch of the game to the superstar, Parker made his adjustments and pitched a gem allowing only 3 more hits en route to a shutout in his season debut. Nate Freiman had a great first game of the season, doubling twice, scoring once, the only time of the game. Jed Lowrie also extended his hitting streak to 3 with 2 hits, including an RBI single. Hector Santiago had a decent outing but left early due to arm issues, allowing 5 hits and 1 run after going 4 and 1/3 innings. The Angels 4 hits came from the bats of Trout, Pujols, Hamilton, and Howie Kendrick. I've noticed I need to change something in the watch settings to give more realistic hitting. Too many pitchers duels, no home runs. |
