December 4, 2014 Andy woke up on this rainy day to go to his office at Petco Park. Andy was looking at some scouting reports he made as his phone buzzed... Padres GM REPLACEMENT will be decided by 12:00 pm. Andy got a great rush because he knows that he is the front runner to receive the job, but Andy likes the job that he has now being the head scout. There was a knock at his office door... it was the Padres owner. After the two spoke for a couple of minutes the owner told Andy he will be the new GM of the Padres. The owner also told Andy that he will have to speak at the next press conference that will be held in 2 days. Andy then left Petco Park thinking about how the press conference will go. |

December 6, 2014 Andy was ready to make his first public appearance as the new GM of the Padres. He was a little nervous, but he knew he could handle the fear of him messing up in front of everyone. Now after the owner talked to the press about Andy being the new GM it was time for Andy to answer some questions. The first question was from a man in the front: "What will you need to do this season to turn the Padres into a winning team?" Andy: "I think we will need to trade for starting pitchers and fielders that play good defense." A woman in the back asked: "What are the odds of the Padres to make the playoffs?" Andy: "I think we have a decent shot at making the playoffs because we have a lot of good quality guys." Andy answered more questions and the press conference ended. Andy thought the press conference went really well. Andy really thought that the Padres had a decent chance to make the playoffs based off of some trade ideas that he had come up with. |

March 16, 2015 Andy and the other coaches took a long time to decide on the roster before the beginning of the season. There were a lot of players that were so close to being able to make the Padres MLB team, but were just not good enough.
