December 25, 2007 The mornings always sucked for Willie Ryan. His coffee maker broke down half the time and he was running low on RedBull. "It didn't have to be like this," he thought. It really didn't, he could have been the ace of the Boston Red Sox, the team that had won the World Series 2 months earlier. Fate had been unkind to Ryan, as he had been 1 strike away from Boston, he threw his tricky curve that had been threatening his elbow for as long as he'd been throwing it, and his elbow blew out. He hadn't been able to get back on his feet ever since, his only job had been a coaching position at a prestigious Texas baseball team, but after back-to-back losing seasons, he was out. Today started of good for him, he managed to get enough RedBull in his system so that he didn't need coffee. He walked over to where his television set was, and turned it to SportsCenter. There was breaking news in the top left corner. "Two new expansion teams added to the MLB," it read. Just as he finished reading that his phone rang. He was upset that someone would call on Christmas Morning. "Hello?" he asked. "Hello is this Willie Ryan?" an unfimiliar voice asked. "Yes what do you want?" he commanded. "This is Billi Bob Jean, the owner of the Jacksonville Red Hawks, one of the two new expansion teams in the Major League." "Okay." "Well we want you to be our new General Manager. What do you say?" "Sure." "Well, then Merry Christmas." |

Quick question...is this a Power Pros log? If so, I'll gladly move it to whichever section the game you have this on is on. |

Hi, the season starts in 3 months, do you wanna be general manager of a new team that you just learned about today and are not even sure about? Sure. |

Alright, I'm gonna hope and pray that this is 2008 (I think it is, so really I shouldn't worry, I digress), and move it over there. |

Power Pros 27 wrote: ZeroGibson13 wrote: I'm predicting 125 wins right now. Seems a little low. 162 maybe? Well, since most everything is on powerful, I think I will lose some games (but 162-0 is a possibility). |

Well it is so live with it. There are 162 games in a season. I highly think I won't win them all. |
