The phone rang. It was John Feldmanson, billionaire, owner of the new MLB team, the Phoenix Rattlers.
John: Hello, is this Jacob Stylin?
Jacob: Yes, why?
John: I want you to be the GM/Manager of my new team the Phoenix Rattlers. We will struggle in the early years, but later we will be powerful.
Jacob: Well, I am used to it.
John: Now, I understand you have managed the White Sox from 1989-2004 and the Royals in 2006.
Jacob: Yes.
John: Well, you made the playoffs twice in those years in 1993 and 2000. So you are experienced.
Jacob: That is correct.
John: Well, you're hired.
Jacob: Thanks.

lol.

I could make the playoffs in 1998 and 1999. Then retire, doesn't make me experienced.

The Jacob guy does seem like a tool though.

I didn't mean that. I meant that making the playoffs twice in 15 years with a team is pretty bad. A team isn't going to keep a manager around long if his teams are consistently bad. Logically, the White Sox would have fired him after a couple years of bad performance. Plus, the year after he leaves, the team wins the World Series. So it wasn't the team's fault, it was the manager holding them back

The Diamondbacks called. They want their team name back.

I guess I could've said that better.

The Jacob guy seems like a tool, too.

But yeah, he is a pretty bad manager.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. ERISA is basically the only forum member that uses that style. That's what I was saying.

Interview with John feldmanson
Hello, I am John Feldmanson and I'm here to answer your questions.
First off, I would like to comment on the hiring of Jacob Stylin. We hired Jacob because of his experience with average teams. He led a terrible 2000 White Sox team to a Alds apperance.
He has developed many star players, including Robin Ventura, Frank Thomas, Paul Konerko, and Mark Buehrle. His worst managerial record was 62-100 with the royals in 2006.
He has 100 career ejections, his most was 9 in 1996. He is patient with young players. He is 64 years old. He is known for his aggressive style on the basepaths. We thought that we was a better choice than Brian Roads, assistant of the Houston Astros from 1980-2006. Stylin played 6 years of pro ball with the Mets, including a World Series ring in 1969. He loves the game of baseball something we considered a priority, love of the game. He resides in Phoenix, so he is close to home in our headquarters. We are glad he accepted the job. Ask any questions you might have. They will be answered.
