offseason 2007 the wings has announced a new gm for the expansion team the Omaha wings.
on dream draft day
the owner says to the gm i want to draft us the best team possible for the lowest salary possible.

Decent team. No 3rd baseman (Durham has an E there I believe), and all your speed is in the lineup. I wouldn't be so eager to use Iannetta as a PR or Jones defensively...

i switched bruntlett 1FFCDDE for adam jones for the mlb/AAA switch and will use bruntless as a pinch runner
the games are simulated except my at bats and the pitcher has a RISP
Game 1 at the angels

Omaha started early with a base hit by my life player then a sac bunt by soria. the 2nd inning had 2 outs when my life player started a 5 run rally to put the angels away for good and kept on the offensive attack with 3 in the 5th and 7th for a 22 hit attack. the Angels got 1 back in the bottom of the 1st only other good inning they had was the 8th vs Justin Verlander who was outstanding got the win with the complete game 15k performance.

was a pitchers duel between the 2 until the wings ran away in the 6th.
a triple was the only thing Saunders needed in this game in the 4th inning when Soria drove White in then in the 6th inning Escobar and Milledege went back to back in a 5 run rally to put the angels away for good.
Saunders did not let the angels past 2nd base with a 4 hitter and 16 K in a complete game performance.

Lee Vs Batista

in the bottom of the 5th lee picked off the runner on 1st on a errant throw with the runners in the corners to get out of the jam with no damage done
sexson homered in the 6th to make it 3-2 but white homered in the 7th to make it 4-2 the bullpen was dominant after lee left in the 6th. nice work by colome and k-rod

mariners tried a hit and run on a 0-2 count with runners in the corners with 0 out but ibanez popped out in the 1st weaver gets out of the jam with no trouble.
a nice diving catch by escobar to save a run in the bottom of the 7th
a home run by white to lead off the 12th when the pitcher threw it down the middle to give his team the 2-1 lead in this good pitchers duel
Bullpen allowed a runner to score in the 7th which was charged to weaver after that allowing 5 hits in 5 2/3 innings
Hennessey got the win k-rod got the save and green got the loss

Lopez almost hit ibanez with a foul ball in the 5th inning
mariners lined into a double play to end the 6th on gallardo's last batter with 1 out
Wings turn a huge double play in the 8th to keep it a 2-1 game with runners in the corner 1 out
Colome got a hold and k-rod got his 2nd save this season
