Not at the moment just try and score runs using extra base hits and hit and runs

Hey look, I finally did this:

Name: Michael O'Reilly
Age: 39
Experience: Minor league outfielder with Houston, Cleveland, Atlanta, and Oakland from 1991-1998, scout for the San Diego Padres organization from 2000-2006.

"And with the fourth pick in the 2004 MLB Draft, the San Diego Padres have selected shortstop Matt Bush."

These words, exciting for Michael at the time, signaled the beginning of the end for the the 35-year old scout. He had finally worked his way up through the ranks with the Padres, and had been central in the selection of Bush. Michael could not wait to see Bush perform in the minors and, eventually the big league level.

As the years progressed, however O'Reilly watched Bush fail on the field and sabotage his career through countless legal troubles. O'Reilly also watched as his standing with the organization continued to slip. This was cultivated when, in October of 2006, he was called into the office of general manager Kevin Towers and promptly fired. For years, O'Reilly disappeared from baseball, but he is rumored to be making a return for young GM Jeff Harvey and the Baltimore Orioles. Only time will tell if O'Reilly has psychologically recovered from the one mistake that plagued his career.

No, It's on powerful, and I stink at hitting without lock-on 2, so I'll either go lock-on 1 or turn it off entirely. Now my pitching will need some SERIOUS work.

It was a big step for me to get to batting with no lock on, but I'm glad I did. You might have more fun by reducing pitching level to all-star or expert and going to no lock on help.

I'm not telling you what to do - just making a suggestion that might make games more fun.

Thanks! Does that mean I should lower opponent hitting levels and go no lock-on? Might make things interesting. I'll test expert and all-star opponent hitting levels in exhibition to see which one I want.

Sorry I haven't done anything recently. Been busy with stuff and not felt like playing the games right now. Currently out of town, so I won't have any more games until Monday.

Rays (0-1): 7 @ Orioles (1-0): 3

For some stupid reason, I forgot to get the stats for this game. But I know that Great Thompson got the loss for us, and may be going to the minors for a bit.

Also, Daniel Cabrera's line: 6 IP, 3 ER, 9 K. Don't know how many hits he gave up.

Brian Roberts hit his second homer of the year.

The Baltimore Sun
April 3, 2008

Tampa Bay Rays (1-1): 3 @ Baltimore Orioles (1-1): 0

W: Edwin Jackson (1-0)
L: Jeremy Guthrie (0-1)

O's Hitting:
2B B. Roberts: 1-4, K
DH M. Mora: 0-3, K
RF N. Markakis: 0-3
1B G. Johnson: 0-3
3B A. Huff: 0-3
LF L. Scott: 0-3
CF J. Payton: 0-2
-PH A. Jones: 0-1, K
C R. Hernandez: 0-3
SS L. Hernandez: 0-2
-PH F. Bynum: 1-1, SB

O's Pitching:
J. Guthrie: 7 IP, 3 R, 2 ER, 7 H, 6 K
F. Cabrera: 2 IP, 0 R, 0 H, K

Another rough game for the O's today. Edwin Jackson took a perfect game into the 7th for the Rays, and B.J. Upton led the Rays' offense to a win with his homer in the 6th.

The bad times started for the O's in the third, as Jason Bartlett hit a fly to center that should have been an easy snag, but Jay Payton dropped it, putting Bartlett in position for Dioner Navarro to hit an RBI single, giving the Rays an early 1-0 lead.

After close shaves in the 4th and 5th, Jeremy Guthrie seemed to be getting back in a groove; that is, until B.J. Upton stepped up to the plate, and put a solo homer over the right-center fence to give the Rays a 2-0 lead.

The final straw came in the 7th, as Carl Crawford stepped up to the plate with two men on, hitting an RBI single to give the Rays a 3-0 lead, with that being the final score.

When asked what happened, manager Buck Showalter had this to say: "Our hitting just fell apart today. [Edwin] Jackson pitched a great game today, and we just couldn't touch him."

Notes:
Prior to the game, Great Thompson was demoted to AAA after two horrible performances in a row. Danys Baez was called up in his place... Number changes were made before the game, as Great Johnson changed his number from 006 to 7, and Thompson from 005 to 11.
