(Again, sorry for the horrid title) (Due to my previous log's save being corrupted, I started this one.) Rules: (Target is rich, so why would I have a budget of only 40 million, this rule has been waived. (The no one above 35 rule has been waived.) Can not sign any F/A at the start of the season. (This counts for 09 season, 10 season, etc.) Cannot trade with the Orlando Wildboys Cannot sign anyone who has previously been on the Orlando Wildboys Nevermind with this one too, Target is rich, I can now sign and trade for people for as much as they want. New Orleans Gazelle February 19th, 2007 New commissioner Clyde McFloyd has announced the expansion of MLB into the cities of Orlando and New Orleans, respectively, they will be called the Wildboys and the Hornets, this announcement comes exactly 1 year after Bud Selig resigned due to health and family issues. Clyde has stated that the owners of the Wildboys are Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and the owners of the Hornets are Target Corporation. Fans of baseball in the New Orleans area that we interviewed suspect that this will cause a rivalry between the two expansion teams as both companies own department stores that already rival for customers wallets. February 27th, 2007 Orlando Planking The new GM's of the two expansion teams, the Orlando Wildboys and the New Orleans Hornets have been announced, for the Wildboys it is former ace Sandy Koufax, who has ceased all operations with his former team, the Dodgers to pursue a career in the managing portion of the game, for the Hornets, in a total surprise and announcement that will cause rage in the MLB fanbase is current commissioner Clyde McFloyd, we reached him for an interview while he was in Orlando. "I don't know why you think everyone will get mad, you know, it's not actually me that decides the trades, it's my race of ESPN analysts that do, don't worry. I aint gonna pull no F. Hernandez for Albert Pujols deal, plus isn't that guy like 40?" January 22nd, 2008 New Orleans Gazelle Just months before the start of the 2008 MLB season, the commissioner, Clyde McFloyd has announced that the Wildboys will play in the National League East division and the New Orleans Hornets will play in the National League Central so that the leagues will stay evened out. Due to this, the NL Central would have had 7 teams, but with the recent sales of the Pirates and the Brewers, both teams will move to the American League Central, and the American League West, respectively. (From now on, it'll be the Gazelle's newspaper only.) |

Clyde: 1.5. Timmy: But sir... Clyde: Enough! Timmy: Fine. Clyde: Anyways, I was thinking about making a lineup... Timmy: You haven't made the lineup yet!?! Clyde: No, I thought the manager would do that. Timmy: You said you're the GM/Manager/Hitting Coach/Farm Director/Pitching Coach and the Scout! Clyde: Oh yes, right. ...... Clyde: Okay, here's what I got. Lineup: (NO DH) 1. Conti 2. Rolls 3. Duran 4. Abraham 5. McMillon 6. Bannister 7. Connolly 8. Coste 9. Pitcher Lineup: (DH) 1. Conti 2. Rolls 3. Duran 4. Abraham 5. New Orleans Gazelle April 5th, 2013 Hornets win, go above .500 in gem by Clapinski. The New Orleans Hornets beat the opening game in their series against the cardinals because of early runs and an excellent pitching performance on the mound, Clapinski went 6 1/3 innings giving no runs and only 3 hits, while fanning 8, he earned his first major league win due to this, we reached him for an interview after the game. "You know man, this feels great, it took me so long to get here, and I'm so happy, I left the game due to some elbow pain but an initial check showed nothing, I'm glad to be a Hornet, we might not win many games, but when we do, it hopefully will look like this. Win: Clapinski Save: X Loss: Looper HR: X Final score: Hornets: 3-1-0-0-0-1-0-0-0 Cardinals: 0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0 Hornets: 5 Cardinals: 0 |

Ahh yes, I should, just verifying that I'm playing the first game of a series and simulating the rest, thanks for that though. Anyways, we're currently 4-1, just simulated the series against the cardinals and we swept them, the Astros are next! The Minnestota Deer April 7th, 2008 The Minnestota Twins have denied a trade that would've sent SP Boof Bonser to the New Orleans Hornets for CP Moran and OF Coste, the GM of the Twins was reached via Skype. "I felt that I needed to decline this trade because of how important Bonser is to our team, both players the Hornets offered were very good and had the potential to be starters on a good team, but we weren't ready to make this deal happen, we will keep in contact with the Hornets, however." |

The New Orleans Gazelle April 7th, 2008 The Hornets win again! Due to an injury to the SP that was scheduled to pitch, SP Truby was called up, that sure was smart! Truby pitched a solid 7 innings giving up 5 hits and no runs to the Houston Astros, once he was tired he was pushed through and suffered some elbow pain, initial reports show that he is a-okay, due to this performance he will be staying up as the 5th starter. The New Orleans Gazelle April 14th, 2013 Chan Ho Park to Hornets. The Los Angeles Dodgers have traded Korean pitcher Chan Ho Park to the New Orleans Hornets for starting outfielder Coste. This move will send Park to the starting rotation, and put bench player Wesson in at the RF spot. Chan Ho Park is 33 and will conflict with McFloyd's no one above 35 rule in 2 years. He will be called up to the MLB in place of Andrews, whom has a 6.23 E.R.A in a starting role. |

The New Orleans Gazelle April 15th, 2008 The Hornets win, snap 2 game losing slide. The Hornets win again, as we're now so used to seeing, they again roughed up Looper when facing the cardinals. Newly acquired Chan Ho Park pitched a gem in 5 innings but left due to being tired, he fanned 10, an average of 2 per inning! Hornets: 3-0-3-0-0-0-0-0-0 Cardinals: 0-0-0-1-0-0-0-0-1 Final score: Hornets: 6 Cardinals: 2 Win: Park Save: X Loss: Looper HR: X Record: 10-5 2nd in the NL Central Won the series 2-1 Up next, the Reds! (This game will decide the division leader, so ill play all these games and upload that in one post.) Edit: due to me hitting the ball so much, I'll be turning the CPU pitching up to all-star, from expert. |
