Hey there, Xceller8 here. I am going to be starting a Season Log for the second half and postseason of the 2008 season for the New England Legends. I will be posting a full length game review of 1 game a week, and posting a brief review of the other game that week. I will also be posting awards like Players of the Week and Players of the Month. Posts will be made whenever possible. I will start by giving a full length game review of the 2008 All-Star Game and brief reviews of the other games that happened during that week. (Note: Yes I play on rookie mode because I could never get the hang of the other modes.) (Other note: All teams settings are on powerful mode.) Roster: Hyso Beam [P - Closer] Casey Sears [P - Starter] Matthew Towers [P - Starter] Albert Nixon [P - Starter] Joshua Towers [P - Starter] Xavier Cannon [P - Mop-Up Man] Mark Scales [P - Starter] Victor Seven [P - Middle Reliever] Ethan Golf [P - Starter] Oswald Pump [P - Long Reliever] Thomas Press [P - Set-Up Man] Daniel Falcon [P - Starter] James Rush [P - Starter] Raziel Delta [LF, CF] Internet Proxy [C] Christopher Alpha [CF, LF, RF] Xceller8 (myself) [SS, all others] Fluxon Edge [RF, CF] Radonis Shutdown [1B, 2B] Commander Nitro [3B, 2B] Quentin Light [2B, 1B] Kurt Minix [1B, 2B, 3B, SS] Zero Rex [RF, CF, LF] Barry Jet [3B, RF, CF] Shawn Ore [LF, C, CF] I did not post stats or averages, I will post those if requested later. If you have any questions, ask me. Thanks, Xceller8 |

June 26, 2008 Interleague play coming to an end for 2008 Season, Xceller8 disappointed with last two games Legends News - Entry 1 After 15 Interleague series games, the Legends have 3 games yet to play. Their opponent- the San Francisco Padres. Earlier this year, New England beat the Padres in all three games. The Padres have some of the top players in their league, such as Greg Maddux and a direct clone of Shawn Ore, who has been awarded Player of the Week and Player of the Month multiple times (for the Padres). After a heated series of games with the New York Mets, Xceller8, the team manager and shortstop had something to say about it. "The first game was fine," says Xceller8. "but the last two games were horrible in my sight." Xceller8 says even though they won the last two games 71 - 0 and 58 - 0, he believes that he and his team weren't putting in enough spirit. He also believes that Carlos Beltran of the Mets was out to get them after he was injured and prevented from playing in the first game. "It was like we were being controlled by a guy sitting around eating potato chips," Xceller8 says. "We are a uniform team. Our life is commitment to the game. We needed to be the guy getting pumped up at the sight of us walking on to the field those nights." Xceller8 says he wants his baseball team to be like his high school marching band. He does not want anything preventing them from losing a game, or missing a practice, or getting tired. "I was most disappointed in myself. I got out more times than I can remember, if i am right, four or five times." Xceller8 and the rest of his team hope to annihilate the Padres in their three upcoming games. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Psst! Xceller8 here. The next few updates before the week of the All-Star Game will be in only this type of form. Thanks for all the warm welcomes! |

Ooh, this looks interesting. Welcome to the forums! When you say your player is can play "[SS, all others]" does that mean you got all 2nd positions on him? How'd you manage that (unless these are edited players)? P.S. *San Diego Padres. You accidentally said San Francisco. |

Why are you winning 71-0? Put it on a tougher difficulty. |

Zumikaku - I actually edited the F/A players instead of playing Success mode (because I can never seem to win) AnthonyP - 3 reasons why i don't do that: 1. I stated that "...I play on rookie mode because I could never get the hang of the other modes." 2. All teams settings are on powerful mode, so power is balanced...kind of. 3. (sort of irrelevant) My players on my team do not have maxed out stats, but their abilities range from grades A to D, so it seems realistic (sort of like if an All-Star team played as an actually MLB team all the time). |

How is winning 71-0 realistic at all? |

Hey, guys, let's try to go a little easy on him. He's new, and it's his first log. |

Hey guys, quick update. I will be restarting the season and be playing on a harder difficulty (due to popular demand). I'll just delete my 2 posts and edit the main post for this thread. I'm off to a swim meet, so I won't be back for a few hours. Thanks, Xceller8 |
