Here it is: Mikey Roberts, Manager (19 years old, youngest MGR ever) Peter Smith, General Manager Ryan Techer, Scout Cooper Thompson, Scout/Consultant Bryan Murphy, Consultant Jeffrey Loria has also agreed to sell the team to a group led by Smith but also including former MLB first baseman Terry Cooper and former minor-league pitcher Gilgamesh Star. To participate in the draft the Marlins, and all other teams, are required to allow all of their current players to be selected in the draft. Coverage of the draft starts tomorrow at 5 pm Eastern on ESPN2 and 4:30 pm Eastern on MLB Network. The Marlins will have the first pick in each round. |

I think that we should be a balanced team. Maybe get Pujols or Verlander in the first round. That's my feeling. (I don't know if I was supposed to post that here, but whatever...) |

The Miami Marlins have officially been sold by Jeffrey Loria. The new ownership group includes GM Peter Smith and 2 former professional baseball players: first baseman Terry Cooper, who was shuttled between AAA and MLB and ended his career with a .278 average, 66 home runs, and 159 RBIs in parts of 11 seasons. The other is Gilgamesh Star, a pitcher whose career was ended by an injury while at the AAA level. -----PLAYER UPDATE----- H.Ramirez: Can you believe this? J.Johnson: Believe what? H.Ramirez: Look here, at the newspaper. It says they fired everyone and sold the team. J.Johnson: WHAT?!? H.Ramirez: And, we're all in this "league-wide draft". As in, they're having one of those Fantasy Drafts like in Madden or something. C.Ross: I did one of those once. I got Peyton Manning and Larry Fitzgerald. Willingham: Shut up. Andino: Wait, what's going on? Treanor: They sold the team, fired everyone, our new manager's a teenager, and they're putting all of us in a Fantasy Draft like in Madden. Andino: Did you hear about the one Cody did? He got Peyton Manning and Larry Fitzgerald! Lindstrom: Wait what? I heard "draft" and "team". Treanor: I don't have to repeat that do I? H.Ramirez: They sold the team... J.Johnson: And fired everybody... Treanor: Our new manager's a teenager... Andino: They're putting us all in a Fantasy Draft... De Aza: Like in Madden... C.Ross: Did you hear about the one I did? I got- Lindstrom: Peyton Manning and Larry Fitzgerald? Even I know that already. You've told us, what, 700 times since you did it 2 hours ago? Oh, and that whole draft thing sounds cool! I was about to demand a trade anyway so... H.Ramirez: Has anyone noticed anything different? A.Sanchez: You mean like, the guy who looks like our water boy, but is really our manager? Uggla: Is he the one that's been standing over there the whole time? A.Miller: Wait, what is going on here? H.Ramirez: I'm out of breath from saying so much... Treanor: Just say it again, but all quickly-like and stuff. A.Miller: Quickly-like? H.Ramirez: Here goes. Team sold. Everybody fired. New manager teenager. Whole team. Fantasy Draft. Madden. C.Ross: I did one-*mouth taped*-mmmmmffff! |

Holy draft logic Batman! Hamilton in the 6th, Kemp in the 8th? This team is streets ahead (get it?) of your previous Miami Marlins team, for sure. |

They seem very simm-able. They're all low-scoring, the lack of game summaries, etc. |

I think some of them are too high scoring to have been produced by the "Watch Game" option. |

Kemp is iffy on his play. Verlander's glad he doesn't have to have Tommy John Surgery. |
