Jimmy Panther, SP L/L #1 DOB: 1-1-1983 94mph, D 127, B 133 SLV 2, PALM 4 w/RISP 4, VS LH Batter 4, Poise 4, Recovery 4, Groundball P, STR Finisher, Dr.K, Aggressive RUN Press release: The Sapporo Sluggers selected starting pitcher Jimmy Panther from the Brewers. Panther throws a fastball in the low- to mid-90's, a palmball, and a recently added slurve. Panther was a good pitcher in the minors. He went 3-1 with a minuscule 0.27 ERA and 20 K's in 5 games at AA, then was 1-4 with a still-marginal 1.54 ERA and 24 K's in 5 games at AAA. Panther also induced a lot of ground balls, only allowing 1 HR in 10 games. |

Press release: The Sluggers selected Red Sox right fielder Ronald Guzman. Guzman is a 3-tool player who hits very well for contact AND power. He hit .474 in AA and .375 in AAA with a total of 2 doubles, 1 triple, 1 home run, and 4 RBI. Guzman also possesses a strong arm and a decent glove. |

Rick Allen, CL R/R #27 DOB: 8-22-1985 96mph, D 121, E 43 ORIG* 5, H-SNK 4 VS LH Batter 4, Poise 4, Fastball Life 4, Release 4, Recovery 4, Groundball P, GD Pickoff, GD Reflexes *The ORIG is the "Ninja", Slider w/rise Press Release: The Sluggers selected Tigers closer Rick Allen, 22, in the Expansion Draft. Allen was a starter in the minors, but he only made it out of the 5th inning once in 10 games. He throws a mid-90s fastball with good late life, a sinker in the low 80s, and a good rising slider called the "Ninja". Allen was 0-2 with a 2.97 ERA and 10 strikeouts in AA, and 1-2 with a 3.32 ERA and 17 K's in AAA. |

Rick Anderson, SP L/L #31 DOB: 4-27-1987 100mph, D 129, B 142 CB 5, ORIG* 3 w/RISP 4, VS LH Batter 4, Poise 4, Fastball Life 4, Recovery 4, GD Low Pitch, GD Pickoff, Poker Face, GD Pace *sittCHG, a Fork with more break. Press release: The Sluggers selected Red Sox starting pitcher Rick Anderson. Anderson, 20, throws a fastball that tops out around 100 mph with good life, a good curve, and a good breaking pitch he calls the "sittCHG". Anderson has good control and stamina, and projects well as a MLB starter. Anderson started 5 games in AA and 3 in AAA, going 1-1 at both levels with a 0.81 ERA and 20 K's in AA, and a 2.77 ERA and 17 K's in AAA. |

Nolan-Yuniesky "N-Y" Steak, 1B R/R #1 DOB: 12-20-1985 4, A 14, A 228, E 7, F 4, F 4, E 6 Clutch Hit 4, Power Hitter, Spray Hitter, Push Hitter, Hot Hitter, Firstball HTR, Aggressive RUN Gd strike zone: Right down the middle Press release: The Sluggers signed Tigers first baseman/DH Nolan-Yuniesky Steak. Steak, 22, is a tremendous hitter. He can hit for contact and power, as well as hitting well to the opposite field and with RISP! Steak, who is known as "N-Y" to most, hit .421 with a double, 5 homers, and 9 RBI in AA, and .667 with 2 doubles, 1 triple, 4 homers, and 9 RBI in AAA. He also drew an intentional walk in AAA, and took the loss in the AAA Championship, allowing 2 runs over 1 inning of work. |

Because I feel like it. They're actually pretty effective, the CPU isn't expecting a 49 mph "fastball" right down the middle. |
