Byrd press release:

Byrd is a good pitcher with a good set of pitches. He only threw 2 pitches, a 4-seam fastball that barely hit 90 mph, and a circle changeup, in the minors. Byrd recently added a cutter to his repertoire. His fastball has good life and his changeup and cutter have a very sharp break. In his first AA start he threw 4 shutout innings. From there on he threw a quality start in every single game he pitched, including a shutout with 10 K's in a Triple-A game. In the AAA championship against the GalaxySharks he threw a complete game allowing only a 2-run homer to Bamboo. He also went 2-for-3 with 2 singles. Byrd is likely going to be the ace of this team.

Question. Are you going to make this guys as best as you can, or try to keep them realistic?

The expansion team has selected pitcher Cody Proctor from the Blue Jays in the Expansion Draft. Yesterday they picked pitcher Tim Byrd from Oakland. Proctor is a starter with a hard, high-90s fastball, a 2-seamer, a drop curve, and a slider with good tilt. He has good control and stamina and for now, looks like their #1 pitcher. "Cody's a great pitcher with a good mix of pitches. We especially liked his performance against the GuavaStrawberrys, he threw a 2-hitter with 9 strikeouts," stated GM Peter Smith.

The Wolves have selected shortstop Brett Daniels from the Yankees in the expansion draft. Daniels is a great hitter who hit .450 in AA and .471 in AAA, hitting a total of 3 doubles, 2 triples, 2 homers, and 11 RBI. He was a single short of the cycle in AAA against the GalaxySharks (2nd game), then in the championship pitched a scoreless 9th inning against them, intentionally walking Sittch, in a 5-0 loss. Daniels also possesses blazing speed and an average arm and glove.
