4-1-2008 Nashville gets a MLB team with the surprise unveiling of the Nashville Predators, an expansion team owned by Steve Krynston. "We are proud to say that we have created a new franchise," said Krynston,"We are, in my belief, ready to be a contender right out of the gate." Krynston also announced that his GM/Manager will be Anthony Palmer, an inexperienced graduate of Tennessee Tech. "I have faith in our GM," said Krynston,"I feel that he is the best fit." We'll find out soon if Krynston is right. |

Barton-RP-85 MPH, D, C, 3 SLD, 3 CUT, 3 CB, 3 KNCB, 3 FORK. Fielders: Polamalu-C-D, A, D, D, D, C, 4 traj. Bowie-1B-E, C, F, F, F, F, 3 traj. Brazell-SS-E, F, E, D, D, F, 2 traj. A.J.-RF-E, A, E, C, E, F, 2 traj. These players are expected to perform at a high consistency. |

4-2-2008 Nashville played it's first game today, playing at Tampa Bay. The starting lineup 1. Brazell-SS 2. Lockwood-2B 3. A.J.-RF 4. Polamalu-C 5. Bowie-1B 6. Stark-3B 7. Colangelo-DH 8. Dellucchi-LF 9. Obradovic-CF Starting pitcher: Riku In the top of the first, Lockwood singled and was driven in by a Polamalu homer. In the bottom of the first, the second batter, Carl Crawford, got a triple with one out. Riku settled in and struck out the next two batters to retire the side. In the top of the third Brazell, Lockwood, and A.J. all had singles to load the bases. Polamalu flew out to center, holding the runners. Bowie then had a fly ball single to drive in Brazell, followed by a sac fly to CF by Stark to drive in Lockwood, then a double by Colangelo to drive in two. In the Bottom of the third, Riku struck out three. In the top of the fourth, with runners on the corners thanks to singles by Lockwood and A.J., Polamalu hit a three run homer to center field. In the bottom of the fourth, Polamalu was injured jumping into a wall in an attempt to make a catch. He was out the rest of the game and Person was subbed in for him. In the top of the sixth, with two away, Bowie hit a solo HR. In the bottom of the sixth, Carlos Pena was picked off stealing second. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on second and third, Riku came out for Barton, who finished the inning without allowing a run. In the top of the eighth, Stark hit a two RBI double, followed by Colangelo hitting a two RBI double, then Brazell hit an RBI single. In the top of the ninth, Bowie hit a 3 run homer. In the bottom of the ninth, Barton came out for Griffiths, who retired the side. Final score: Nashville 18, Tampa Bay 0. |

After the game, Riku was interviewed by Power Pros News. They asked him how he felt about his pitching in the game. "I feel good about it," he said,"I'm humbled that Mr. Palmer and Mr. Krynston think I'm good enough to be part of this team." Power Pros News also interviewed GM Palmer what he thinks of his team's future. "I think the future is bright," he said,"With how many young guys we have on this squad, I think we can win a World Series soon." |

Obradovic CF Walter SP In the top of the first, A.J. hit a solo HR, followed by a single by Polamalu and 2 run HR by Bowie. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 2nd and one away, B.J. Upton hit an RBI double, followed by a sac grounder by Rocco Baldelli. In the top of the second,with runners on 1st and 2nd, Brazell hit an RBI single, followed by a single to load the bases for A.J., who hit a 3 RBI triple. Polamalu then hit a sac grounder, followed by a Bowie solo HR. In the top of the fourth, and bases loaded, Colangelo hit a 2 RBI single, followed by a single and a sac fly. In the top of the fifth, A.J. hit a solo HR, followed by a Polamalu solo HR, a Bowie single, and an RBI triple by Colangelo. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, A.J. hit a 2 run shot, followed by a Polamalu solo shot. In the top of the seventh, with Colangelo on 2nd, Dellucchi hit an RBI single, followed by a single and walk to load the bases, but to no avail. In the top of the eighth, A.J. hit a solo HR. In the bottom of the eighth, after a single, Walter was pulled for Rippy, who proceeded to give up a fielder's choice and an RBI single. In the bottom of the ninth with runners on the corners, Rippy held them and ended the game. Final score: Preds 20, Rays 3. Player of the game: Walter, 7 IP, 3 ER, 6 H, 9 K's, W Power Pros News interviewed Walter after the game. They asked him how he felt about his performance in his pro debut. "I feel like I did alright," he said,"I wish I hadn't given up so many earned runs. But I feel like we as a team are moving in the right direction." |

In the top of the second, with two on and no outs, Brazell hit an RBI single, followed by an RBI single for Lockwood. After A.J. flew out to CF, Polamalu hit a 3 run HR. In the bottom of the third, with runners on by an error and a fielder's choice, David Ortiz hit a 2 RBI double to right center field. In the top of the fourth, A.J. hit a solo homer, and Polamalu followed suit. After singles by Bowie and Dellucchi, Obradovic drove them in with a 2 RBI triple, then was driven in himself by a Brazell single. In the top of the fifth, A.J. hit a solo HR, and Polamalu followed suit... again. In the bottom of the sixth, Elder was pulled for Stratton. In the top of the seventh, Polamalu hit a solo HR, and Bowie followed suit. In the bottom of the seventh, with two on, Kevin Youkilis hit a 2 RBI double. In the top of the ninth, with runners on the corners, Stark hit an RBI double(Bowie out at home). In the bottom of the ninth, Stratton was pulled for Griffiths, who finished the game. In the bottom of the sixth, House was pulled for Barton. In the top of the seventh, with one on, A.J. hit a 2 run shot, followed by a Polamalu solo HR. A single and a double later, Dellucchi hit a 2 RBI double. In the bottom of the seventh, with two on, Ortiz hit a 2 RBI double, followed by a Mike Lowell RBI double. With two out, Barton was pulled for Arellano, who would pitch the rest of the game. In the top of the eighth, with two on and one out, Polamalu hit a 2 run triple, and was driven in by a Bowie double. Bowie was then driven in by a Stark double. Stark was then driven in by a Dellucchi single. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on first, A.J. hit an RBI double, but got out trying to stretch it into a triple. Polamalu then hit a solo HR, followed by a Bowie double and a Stark RBI single. In the bottom of the ninth, with Youkilis on first, Ortiz grounded into a double play. After a Manny Ramirez single, Arellano struck out the next batter to end the game. Final score: 20-5 |
