Okay forget that Giants log, it got boring, I am now the Portland Samurai, an Expansion team in the AL West, I signed Dan Johnson, Great Wood, Tomas Perez, Fernando Hernandez, Matt Morris and Hideo Nomo. since I had no one good to trade I traded around 35000 points in total for Anibal Sanchez, Jeff Francouer, and Fernando Cabrera. Sanchez is an ace, he has a 2.49 ERA right now and he is young and cheap, Francouer is batting like .290 with 7 homers and has Canon arm and really good arm strength which is very important for right field in Panpaka, Cabrera is a dominant closer, he has an 0.55 ERA, he has a level 4 splitter and a level 4 curve. One of the biggest suprises has been Great Wood, He's batting .325 and leading the league in walks.

Agents : Brewers Fuzz Pujols and Anibal Sanchez

simmed first season, Anibal Sanchez won Cy Young award! Bailey won rookie of the year, in the draft picked Mcleary, has 5 star potential and D power (actually good for my team LOL) and is only 18, in the second round I picked Moss who has a 94 top speed and two level 3 pitches. went 71-91. Anibal Sanchez now has a level 6 curve, I signed Carl Crawford, made him a switch hitter, changed Fernando Cabrera's pitching form so he would go from the windup and throw faster, traded points for Jeff Karstens, and converted Dan johnson to catcher, Hideo Nomo retired.

Crawford ought to help your team out, even though I don't know who is on your team except for the free agents you signed.

It's an expansion team so a bunch of grey bar players.

UPDATE: I am in 1st place by 3 games. Anibal Sanchez now has a maxed out curve, I am right after the draft, and grey bar player Chapman has shot out of nowhere to bat .333 with 13 homers, he's a 1st baseman, so I am so glad I moved Dan Johnson to catcher. Crawford is hitting .309 with 20 steals and 7 homers. Francouer has 14 homers. Anibal Sanchez has a .285 ERA.

.285 ERA is O.K. I think that you mean 2.85, not .285. But yeah, I like this since it moves along so fast. :D

.285 ERA is OK???

A .285 ERA is like a 0.29 ERA. That's insanely good.

(i.e. Brad Ziegler's rookie season)

yea it was 2.85 Okay, the Samurai almost made the playoffs but barely missed, the next year, they had a terrible year, with so much money available the Samurai decided to make a splash. BOOM! Roy Halladay and Albert Pujols welcome to the Samurai

Post subject:  Re: The Portland Samurai

okay guys you can have agents here's the starting lineup

1. Carl Crawford LF
2. Great Wood 3B (A contact)
3. Albert Pujols 1B
4. Dan Johnson C
5. Jeff Francouer RF
6. Cannon CF (converted catcher with A contact)
7. Boyd 2B another converted catcher with A contact
8. Bailey DH C Power E contact, might lose lineup spot
9. Tomas Perez SS

I think Mattison will take Bailey's spot, he has A contact and D power but is not good in the field, also a player I drafted from the first year McLeary has almost the same stats as Bailey but is only 21 with 5 star potential.

Rotation
1. Roy Halladay
2. Anibal Sanchez (level 7 curve)
3. Matt Morris (level 5 slider)
4. House ( 95 top speed level 3 slider level 5 knuckleball)
5. Schrager 97 top speed level 3 slider level 2 Fork level 1 knuckle)

Notable relievers Fernando Cabrera, Fernando Hernandez, Enrique Gonzalez, Jeff Karstens, Pedro Feliciano

I'm working on Karstens' stamina, it is at a D right now, once it's at a B he's in the rotation.

I'll have Pujols and Anibal Sanchez.

What team does Sanchez play for at the beginning of Season Mode? What team is he on by default?

Game 2 of the season was a dissapointment because Anibal Sanchez got injured after 5 innings of shutout ball with 8 k's. But there were some bright spots. Carl Crawford hit 2 triples, Cannon and Dan Johnson each hit a triple and in the 3rd inning Jeff Francouer hit a single and Albert Pujols came up and hit a 501 foot  homerun. Jeff Karstens pitched 3 innings and Tomas Perez made an error that let in 2 runs. Enrique Gonzalez pitched the 9th.

Score Samurai 7 A's 2

Sanchez is pleased with his performance, and would like to know when he can return to pitching for the team.

Pujols says that he wanted to make a statement playing on this new team. He said he knew the fence was deep in the outfield, so he just hit it as far as he could. He says not to expect his HR numbers to drop just because the outfield is deeper.
