Are you still sticking with the other season log too?

But anyway, this seems like a good idea! I'll follow.

LAS VEGAS REBELS SEASON PREVIEW

Las Vegas was one of the two teams granted a franchise in the MLB, and as a stipulation of the deal, Sin City was granted the #1 overall pick in the Dream Player Draft. They made the most of it, selecting SP Roy Halladay to be their staff ace. The Rebels, as the new team will be called, drafted a team centered around pitching and defense, drafting 5 great starting pitchers including Halladay, Tim Lincecum, and Felix Hernandez, as well as versatile fielders such as B.J.Upton and Hunter Pence. But don't overlook the high-octane offense of the Rebs, as Jorge Posada and Ryan Howard lead a ramped-up march to victory.

I love stuff like this, especially the Dream Draft aspect.

I'll be the agent for Halladay and Howard

OPENING DAY--APRIL 2, 2008

REBELS @ ASTROS

Howard's Two HRs, Blum's 2-run Double Lead Rebs To Opening Day Win

HOUSTON, TX--Ryan Howard hit back-to-back home runs in the fourth and fifth innings, and Halladay's 8-inning, 3 ER performance gave the Rebels their first victory in franchise history. Las Vegas went down 1-0 in the second inning on a Francouer homer, but Jeff Blum's 2-run double in the fourth gave the Red and Black Attack a lead they wouldn't relinquish, as Kerry Wood saved the game in the ninth. Said Blum, the game's MVP, in a post-game press conference: "It feels great to be the hero in the first game of this franchise's history, but I couldn't have done it without the team. This seemingly makeshift group of players has really bonded well so far. I hope we can keep it up throughout the season."

Final: 5-3 LVR
W: Halladay (1-0)
L: Blanton (0-1)
S: K.Wood (1)
MVP: Blum
HR: Francouer (1) Howard (1, 2)

Judging by the season opener, you picked some lucky people.

I was going to make a newspaper-article format for my home opener, but this is so strange that I'm just gonna share it. Top of the ninth, Cain twirling a shutout, I'm up by 5. Cain is gassed, but I try to squeeze the final 3 outs out of him. He gives up two runs, so I'm about to take him out, but guess who came up next... the pinch hitter...HANLEY RAMIREZ! I was so shocked I forgot to put in my clos, and HanRam ripped me for another run. Wood got the save, but in a strange kind-of way. He never thought he would be working today!

Due to fatigue issues, Phil Hughes will be the sixth man in a now-six-man rotation.

Guys who picked clients, they're officially yours.
