I was thinking of an idea for a log...not that I want to drop my Nats log...but this idea made me think of it, so I might.

Picture this: A complete reshaping of the league. New divisions, new teams, and a Dream Draft to move every single player.

Divisions determined by location. This way, more cross-town rivalries (ChiSox/Cubs, Mets/Yanks, etc.) can be played out deeper.

I thought the divisions would shape up like this:

AL

Northeast Division:

Red Sox
Yankees
Mets
Jays
O's
My new team
Central Division:

White Sox
Cubs
Tigers
Twins
Reds

Western Division:

D-Backs
Mariners
Astros
Rangers
Expansion

NL

Southeastern Division:

Phillies
Pirates
Rays
Nationals
Marlins

Mid-Western Division:

Braves
Brewers
Cardinals
Indians
Royals
Rockies

California Division

Angels
A's
Padres
Dodgers
Giants

What do you think? I think it would be fun. I'm going to start a season with these divisions. If you guys approve, then I'll post my results.

Sounds like a pretty good idea, but I think Pittsburgh and Philadelphia should be considered northeast. The O's and the Braves can go in the southeast (After all, the Orioles and Nationals are pretty much crosstown rivals) and your team could be in the midwest.

Heh...I always switch around the divisions every time I do a Season Mode.
