After many other politics jokes were discarded, I decided to pick "Hail To The New Precedence" as my corny log title this go-round.

Nice! The Nats! Glad you returned, Benny! I'd like to be the agent for Zimmerman and Kearns.

Thanks all, I'm glad to be back.

I don't really feel like doing agents this go-round; I need a log to get back in the swing of things.

Rain, Injuries Lead To Presidential Implosion

FLUSHING, NEW YORK--Just about everything that could have gone wrong at Shea Stadium did, as the Nationals got destroyed 12-3 in the third game of a three-game series. Ollie Perez tossed a complete game with no walks, the Nats lost a 2-0 lead in a 5-run fourth inning, and both Odalis Perez (elbow) and Elijah Dukes (shoulder) were taken out of the game due to injury. Neither will likely miss playing time.

Final: NYM 12-3
W: Ol.Perez (2-1)
L: Od.Perez (1-2)
HR: Beltran (3), Church (3), N.Johnson (4)
MVP. Ol.Perez, Beltran

TRADE RUMORS

As of late, the offense has been on a complete tear, but my pitching has killed many a game for me. I am also interested in a little spending cash. So...(and here's the part where you throw your keyboard into the wall) I was thinking about moving Zimmerman and a couple of high-salary pitchers. Yes, you read that right. Can we zoom in on those two words? MOVE ZIMMERMAN. Yeah. That's better.

HOWEVER, when I thought of moving Zimms, the two MLBPPWorld Pitching Gods came into my mind: Zach Duke and Paul Maholm.

SO, here is my proposal:

NATS GET:

Maholm, SP
Duke, SP
J.Bautista, 3B/CF

BUCS GET:

Od. Perez, SP
Redding, SP
Zimmerman, 3B

I GET: Two young pitchers and a still-not-too-shabby offense.
I SAVE: 7950p/year
Rating: 4 stars

SO THE QUESTION: Do it or not?

I say try to get them to give you some cash (but make sure it doesn't go below 3 stars) then go for it.
