Two teams will be joining Major League Baseball for the 2008 season and on.

The Utsonomiya Pack, who are keeping that title, despite the fact that they had to relocate to New York, building a huge stadium (Panpaka Park, where triples aren't usually the result of bad defense) for the teams home games, it is unknown how they will fare. Their team currently leaves a little to be desired, but with money to spend, they should be able to build up the team over the next few years or sooner. Their home uniforms feature blue and white, while their road uniforms feature red and black. They will play in the AL West.

The Albuquerque Eye Pains, who are seemingly only being added to the league to keep numbers even, they don't have any veteran players or much money. Their home stadium was formerly used for little league games until they took it over (Local Ballpark). Their uniforms, both at home and on the road, are ridiculous, featuring bright colors which don't seem to match at all. They will join the already too competitive AL East.

Neither team's roster has been confirmed as of this moment.

The pitching looks good, all the pitchers throw at least 90mph fast balls.

Manager Ken Johnson laughs heartily at his prediction.

Medrano goes into a emotional breakdown. He demands a trade.

Ken Johnson laughs, and tells him to calm down, as they've not even played a single game yet. Also, that part of the reason he laughed is they play at Panpaka stadium for home games, where triples are much more frequent than home runs.

Also, to keep this from going too far off track, I'll be starting the first game soon, actually, maybe I'll post practice plans first.

Pack Practice Plans Leaked (Will not list everybody, but anything deemed important enough):

Jeroloman is grouped into batting practice with Bullinger, perhaps the plan is to teach the everyday Catcher "Rally Hitter" in the long run.

McDaniel (AAA pitching prospect, could have a future with the team) practicing top speed.

Calderon (AAA power hitting prospect) practicing hitting.

Medrano is practicing power hitting of his own free will.

Hermansen practicing top speed, with Dudamel who's working on control, maybe they plan to teach their Closer Battler.

McNichol practicing 2 seam fastball.

Solano practicing Forkball.

Palmer practicing Cutter.

Dorta practicing top speed.

Season Opener Opens the Opening:

Pack (0-0), Rangers (0-0)

In a game against the Rangers at home, Orie had to pitch his first major league start, he did very well, pitching 7 innings allowing 1 run and striking out 11. Neither team really did too much on offense in this game, but the Pack managed to pull through with the victory, getting a run in the 4th and 5th. Solano and Hermansen did their jobs well, pitching shutout innings in the 8th and 9th to preserve a 2-1 victory. Medrano did show some power, hitting a few hard liners, including one which got into a gap for his only hit, an RBI triple. Mattison knocked in the winning run in the 5th. After the game, Ken Johnson was interviewed, “Sure, we got the win, and I’m really glad for that, we needed that to start the season, but I really hope our offense picks up, I don’t like close games, we should always win by so much more. The pitchers did their jobs well, and I think Orie could have a bright future with the team.” he was later seen arguing with Medrano in the parking lot.

Agents are now officially allowed, you can take any of the gray bar players, and create your own personality for them if you want.

Alex Rodriguez’ Weak Walk-Off Gives Yankees 6-5 Victory:

Yankees (1-1), Pack (1-1)

The Yankees were playing against the Pack in Yankee Stadium, the game started out heavily in the Yankees favour, as they took an early 4-1 lead. The pack rallied together to manage two runs in the 7th and 8th to take a 5-4 lead late in the game. They brought in their fully rested closer for a chance, a defensive screwup allowed a runner on base, then, with 2 outs in the 9th, down by one, the Yankees Alex Rodriguez stepped up to the plate. He was fooled badly on the breaking ball, lunging forward at it, he got it airborne, hitting a weak line drive into left field, it kept going, and over the fence. He hit just about the weakest home run possible, 319 feet over the left field wall, but it counts just as much as a 500 footer, and the Pack walked away with a frustrating loss. Ken Johnson would decline to be interviewed, but he was seen angrily yelling at just about everybody who would listen, making frantic hand gestures and throwing things.
