June in Review

The Royals had a very good month of June. They went 16-11 for the month, which is a win-loss percentage of .593. The team is no longer in last place in the AL central division. They are now in fourth place, three and a half games ahead of the Minnesota Twins. Overall for the season, they now have a record of 36-48. They are thirteen and a half back of the still division leading Detroit Tigers. After a month of play, all six division leaders remain in their spots at the end of July. On another high note, the Royals made two great picks in the draft. They drafted two pitchers who both have real potential to one day be big leaguers. Overall, the Royals had a great month, and hope to get even better in July as the All-Star game approaches. It will be interesting to see how the second half of the season goes for the Royals and the rest of baseball.

I am ecstatic to see Soria as an All-Star. You better pitch him!

For now I'm sticking with the default lineup. Besides, he doesn't have the speed or contact to be that high in the order. DeJesus and Grudzielanek are the two fastest guys in the lineup. I was thinking of maybe moving him up to fifth or sixth at some point.

Grudzielanek is glad he had such a monster game. Guillen wants to know if he is leading the team in homers.
