I was just curious as to how many pitchers all of you use in your starting rotation in season mode. I use a 6-man rotation, mainly because I don't like to limit my starters to 7 innings, and let them go the distance if they are able to, but I'm thinking about lowering it to a 5-man rotation. |

I use a 5-man rotation, but sometimes the fatigue gets messed up so that, say, the 2 starter has 75% green, then 3 has 10%, but 4 has 50%. Simming often messes it up, but I may switch to 6. |

I just use 5-man rotations to be more realistic and have more bullpen guys. I'll usually have a reliever with like C-B stamina to be a swing man But I really don't know which one is better.. unless you want your starters to get more starts, then 5-man is better |

I usually use a 6-man rotation, but for some reason my starters can never get beyond 5 or 6 innings. Any thoughts on why? |

I use 6 man because my #1 starter is still resting when I need him to pitch so I always use 6 man. |

I use 5 man rotation and 1 or 2 swingmen. |

4 or 5 men! I like to have starters with high stamina. I never do 6 men though, its really unrealistic, but I'll do it if needed. |

Since most of my playing now is with a computer - generated team of scrubs, all of which have like low C stamina at best, I have to adopt a 6/7 man rotation. I also tend to choose a starter day-of, to coincide with who is in good form, so its like a 6 man rotation with 2 spot starters. On my Nats team, its more like 5 man with 4 different guys taking the 4/5 slots depending on their form and stamina. |

It depends on how many starters I have. I prefer 6 but can do 5 if needed. I always have a Swingman either way (Yay for Hideo Nomo!) |

I use 5 but when one isnt fully recovered from his last start, then i just use a swing man from the bullpen who has high stamina rating like B or C. If I got one with A, then thts just a bonus. |

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND giving Recovery 4 to the majority of SPs (75%-80%) and workhorse RPs when you edit the players. Otherwise, as most of you know, a 12-man staff with 6 SP’s and a handful of RP’s you can shuttle on and off the roster is an absolute must. A 12-man staff should always have fresh arms available – that’s the advantage of a 12-man staff. An 11-man staff should also be doable, especially for NL teams where deeper benches are necessary to accommodate pinch-hitters and late-inning defensive replacements. Being liberal with Recovery 4 also keeps you from grinding an opponent’s entire pitching staff to dust during a 3- or 4-game series. Sure, you can still pummel them silly, but at least you won’t be facing a revolving door of gassed pitchers serving meatballs during the last couple of games of every series. A 95-pitch outing shouldn't put a SP on the shelf for 6 days and a late-inning RP should be able to work back-to-back days and 3 out of every 4 with no repercussions. Stamina, control, durability and some of the other abilities do a good job of dictating each pitcher’s workload and dependability over the course of a season. |

It depends, If one of my bullpen guys have C or B stamina, I'll use him as a swing man and then have 6 in my lineup. |
