I'm gonna start one of these season logs and I will keep updating them if no one is replying because I guess people might see just not reply but anyone's welcome to follow if they are interested and I'd also like to get some advice or tips to help me if you have any. I'm open to anything. If anybody want's to be an agent I'll post my roster and I can give updates on those players if you want to know.

I should also add that I am already a month and a bit through my first season and I will also post the players stats as of May 9, 2008. In later posts, I will display my record and the teams I have played through this span, plus any awards such as weekly MVP's and the April Awards as well.

Toronto Blue Jays Get Off to Great Start in Month of April

Although the Blue Jays were not leading the tough A.L. East after the 1st month, they were still passing expectations as they finished 2nd with a record of 18-9, only half a game back of the powerful and dangerous New York Yankees who posted a 20-9 record. The Jays did kick off the season against the Yankees where they won 2 of 3 and continued their surge winning 8 straight games to give them their best start in franchise history. However, during the middle of April, the losses started piling up as the Jays were swept by the Rays adding a 4-game losing streak onto that as well. But nonetheless, the Jays still have a long way to go in the season.

Roy Halladay posted the best pitching numbers with a 4-1 record and a 2.71 ERA with 20 punch out's. B.J. Ryan was the talk of the bullpen going a perfect 8-8 in save opportunities, but still not enough to win the Reliever of the Month by having a 0.77 ERA which was topped by Yankees Hall of Fame closer Mariano Rivera who had 6 saves and did not give up a run.

Despite Vernon Wells being the clean-up hitter for most of the month (who still was a great power hitter), Matt Stairs matched him leading the team with 6 HR and 18 RBI. Wells was right behind him though with 5 HR and 12 RBI.

The Jays are hoping to keep this trend alive as their tasks will only get harder from here on out. With 5 months of baseball still left, anything can happen. Only time will tell if the Jays can stay with the monsters of the A.L. East.

Those stats are ridiculous, you should turn up the difficulty so that it is more interesting.

I've already got cpu pitching up to the highest level as well as fielding too. But if you think my stats are through the roof, my best players are barely keeping up with the other players in the league. Like Granderson almost has 20 HR's and A-Rod's right with him. And their RBI's are even higher. Like none of my guys (besides Stairs now) aren't even in the top 10 for anything in the AL (Stairs is like 4th or 5th or something like that). But I don't know. Maybe just not use the big swing as much anymore, maybe just for the clean-up hitter to make it fair or something like that.

Just another note, I will play all of my games and highlight the last game of every series if people are interested in them. As well as any interesting news around the league, i.e., blockbuster trades, F/A Acquisitions, etc. And if anyone has any questions about my season, then just let me know and I'll try to answer it.

Sabathia Hot on Mound. Jays Fail to Figure Him Out.

Blue Jays 1 - 6 Indians

The Jays began a 3-game series with the Indians where C.C. Sabathia had all of his pitches working. The Jays batters could not get a handle on any of his pitches as Sabathia cruised to a complete game win. With help from Victor Martinez, and Grady Sizemore, the Indians took this game very easily form the Jays.

ya i try not to win every game and i try to keep the division races close lik to a game or two, not lik 8 or 9 where its lobsided. Sure som of my players stats r high but lik i guess it doesnt matter if lik the division races r close. lik i want to make it fair for the computers as well and try to keep it as real as possible.

Toronto Blue Jays (27-14) @ Minnesota Twins (16-23)

Jays Bats and Stellar Pitching Silence Twins Under the Metrodome

Blue Jays 6 - 2 Twins

The Jays began 3-game series today with the Twins under the Metrodome in Minnesota. The Jays bats got it started off with 3 runs in the first 2 innings along with 9 hits. Overbay opened up the scoring with a solo homerun in the first giving him his fifth on the year. Vernon Wells and Aaron Hill added to that in the 2nd inning with back-to-back singles giving the Jays a 3-0 lead. It was all Jays from then on as Wells later added another RBI single along with Adam Lind and Scott Rolen in the late innings of the game.

A.J. Burnett was flawless on the mound going 7 innings giving up 2 runs on 8 hits. His only mistake was a solo homerun to Jason Kubel in the 7th. Other than that, no mistakes from him or the bullpen. Brian Wolfe and B.J. Ryan finished off the 8th and 9th to seal the Jays fourth win in a row.

The Jays now remain in top spot of the AL East only one game ahead of the Yankees, and 3 ahead of the Red Sox. They hope to battle with the Beasts in the East for the remainder of the season and hope there hot start continues.
