Post subject:  Season Logs?

Ok I'm very new to this site and I've seen all of these season logs and I just wanted to know what they are and I've also got some other questions as well about it:

1.)What's up with this agent stuff?
2.) How does this whole season log thing work?

They look pretty fun to do and I'd also like to get some thoughts on how my team looks and all that.

For #2, here is one of the best logs in the history of the forum, which might serve as a goood example:

For #1.

Agents are sort of something in my opinon to keep people interested in the log. Members can represent a player (normaly two or three) and ask for requests on where they are in the lineup or why this player is ahead of their's. Eric Davis 44 come to mine as one of the best agents as far as commentary, I just can't think of the log right now.

For #2.

A member starts a log by picking/slash making a team to be their season team. Some like myself play every game in their franchise, others do nothing but simming the games, and most do a little of both. There are game reviews, trades, F/A signings and much more. Most like to add a little touch to their log, like my soon to be returning 3 Cheers/Tears/Jeers from ESPN's Sportsnation. Just browse the forum for some ideas of what is in a log. Dish's example is a great one, though I really didn't get to see it as I was little late to the party. The two most recent ones that are active are my Oakland A's log (be sure to follow!) and Zumiuaki's Chicago Cubs log. There is also a spin off, called Simyard logs, which is like Season logs just with Simyard. Ask just about any active member what Simyard is and they'll tell yah  . Here is the site http://simyard.com . Mine is pretty much dead now, but the link is still in my sig if you want an example of a Simyard log.

1.) Agents was something I made up where people here can tell me if their player wants to do stuff like leave, is unhappy and contract renewals. I got rid of the idea but I brought it back up because it made people more active of my logs.

2.) This was something Dr.Mario made up a few months ago. It's where we make a season in season mode and make stories and game logs of it as if it was real baseball. We tell about trades, stats, standings and playoffs. It's pretty interesting and you should just check out a few to see. The link that DNK showed you was the longest log at one time, but it really wasn't "neat". It was all bunched together like in the playoffs. People enjoy following logs here

Like I'd like to start a season log(well it seems that everyone else is doing one so I'd at least like to try it) and ya I'll look at others before I start one but the only thing I guess would be making them interesting so people come back and see what's going on. Ya the idea of sharing how my season is going is great, but some have said like "making it feel like real baseball" is where I'm not too sure that I could do. Well I know I could try but some of the examples I've seen look really good or at least I think they do. But ya still, I'll give it a try after a few look at examples and see if people are interested.

I'd say you should spend the most time looking at the logs by jacobye, a lot of people agree on his as the best.
