Cool.
I'm going to do a really quick trade, you'll definitely understand.
Anyways, I'm definitely committed to this, I really think I can make this work.

PRESEASON TRADE! MARINERS ACQUIRE STAR CLOSER!
Yes, their season hasn't even started yet and the Mariners, now without Bavasi and with hotshot young gun Will Clarke, and they've pulled off a great trade with the Reds.
They sent Mike Sweeney, a big waste of salary space (11000), as well as pitching prospects Shawn Kelley and Daniel Cortes to the Cincinnati Reds for Francisco Cordero, as well as $75,000 (7500 P) in cash.
The move is expected to save them [4000 P] in salary, and gives them immediate bullpen help.
How this trade will play out, we'll see in 5 days when the season begins for real.

Yes! The league’s best bullpen just got better. In real news, the Pirates claimed Jakubauskas off waivers today. Back to MLBPP, I hear the Pirates are easy to trade with. *cough* Who knows, they might be in the market for a swingman with a hilarious name.

Don't worry, he's still on the roster, albeit in AAA.

Right now, he's a set-up man.
He has D CTRL, a 96-97 mph fastball (I believe), and 5 DCB.
He has Walk and Dr. K, and regular Stamina for a reliever.
I'm thinking of just focusing on maybe working on his DCB a little more, then going to control until spring training, where I'll teach him a H-SNK or H-SLD to complement his power.

OPENING DAY COMING UP!

TEXAS RANGERS VS. SEATTLE MARINERS

It seemed to start out as a pitcher's duel, as both pitchers cruised through the first inning. However, Hank Blalock crushed a 1-2 pitch into left-field for a home run, and just like that, the Mariners were behind.
Though they didn't score any runs that inning, Dustin Ackley, batting 6th, made his pro debut and smacked a liner into right-center for a single, the first of his MLB career, then he promptly stole second base. Clarke has said he wants a very aggressive team on the basepaths, and through 2 innings they've gotten two stolen bases (the other from Ichiro).
Speaking of Ichiro, he did something a little rarer for him in the bottom of the 3rd. When Kevin Millwood hung a fastball over the heart of the plate Ichiro drove it to dead center field for a home run, tying the game.
There wasn't much else in the way of action until the 9th inning, when Russell Branyan blasts a 2-run shot into the upper deck in right-center, followed by the next batter's, Jose Lopez's, shot that hits the foul pole in right to seal the 7-1 victory on Opening Day.
Felix Hernandez pitched a complete game, 15 K masterpiece, and Ichiro went 4-5 with a home run.

7-1, Your Final Score Tonight!
