This is my second franchise log. The first one, a Giants log, I didn't finish because the file got deleted. I'm gonna take my time with this one and hopefully I'll get pretty far with it.

----- Starting Rotation -----
#34 - Scott Olsen ---- LHP
#55 -- Josh Johnson -- RHP
#47 - Ricky Nolasco -- RHP
#15 -- Andrew Miller -- LHP
#36 - Anibal Sanchez - RHP

------ Batting Order ------
#4 - Alfredo Amezaga - CF
#27 - Jeremy Hermida - LF
#2 - Hanley Ramirez --- SS
#3 --- Jorge Cantu --- 1B
#12 ----Cody Ross --- RF
#6 ---- Dan Uggla ---- 2B
#17 -- Mike Jacobs -- 1B
#58 -- Mike Rabelo --- C

Obviously, looking at my order, I need a better catcher to replace Rabelo. I'm thinking either A.J. Pierzynski or Toby Hall -- let me know what you think.

I'll get the first game up as soon as possible.

Cool I'll follow
And Mike Jacobs can be quite the beast sometimes so bat him somewhere in the middle unless he struggles

Marlins Get Shut Out in Opener

MIAMI, FL --After starter Scott Olsen cruised through the first inning, he scattered four runs over the next six innings pitched. Marlins hitters made their best attempt at scoring a run throughout the entire game but Johan Santana turned in a spotless outing with a complete game. Rick VandenHurk came on in relief of Olsen and tossed the last three innings as the Marlins dropped the 2008 opener by a final score of 4-0.

Florida
Olsen (L, 0-1) | 6 IP | 10 H | 7 K | 4 R | 4 ER |
VandenHurk | 3 IP | 2 H | 2 K | 0 R | 0 ER |

New York
Santana (W, 1-0) | 9 IP | 5 H | 0 K | 0 R | 0 ER |

Player of the Game

For your catcher, I would suggest Chris Snyder (Diamondbacks). He's got a wicked arm and is a decent hitter.

You listed Jorge Cantu as a first baseman - shouldn't he be playing third base?

Great Vazquez of the D-Backs is Emilio Bonifacio, who currently plays for the Fish. If you go after Snyder, you might as well see if you can get Bonifacio as well . . . provided you edited Great Vazquez and made his speed true to form. Bonifacio has his warts, but he might be the fastest man in baseball right now.

In the game he's a third baseman but in real life he's playing first. Once I get Bonafacio he'll be playing third.

Does anybody know if Cameron Maybin is in the game?
