Clay Timpner sounds like a great player according to the GM:o
But where would Timpner play if he does make it anyways

Timpner basically has all High Es and 1 D in fielding.

He plays Centerfield, which Rowand has, but if he starts to struggle or gets traded, Timpner would be first in line to take over. With a year or 2 of development he could become great player. He's got the ability, now he needs perform but with all this turmoil, he might not get a chance.

Man, this log is my idol. I could build off this. Its so in-depth. Good job Doctor.
One question, is Clay Timpner a "Great *last name" guy in this game, or a edited player?

he's a real player in AAA for the Giants

He was my first ever right fielder in draft mode, except he's really a CF

Jacobye is right. Timpner is a real player.

Well I'm glad you like my log! Visit it often and post often, spread the word on it too!

I decided not to do updates today. Or even play Power Pros for that matter. Especially since I played it all yesterday.

Okay, I found him.
My log ended up pretty good. In the log, I'm in May, but I'm really in free agency.

DRAFT DAY 2009 JUNE 10TH!

Draft day is here once again, with the Giants selecting 26th overall. The Giants scouts are saying that they should go for power with their first pick.

Here are the day's top prospects:

P Bittner, 19 years Florida High excellent fastball, has been clocked at 95MPH variety of breakers, raw.

P Pineda, 25 years Vanderbilt breaking ball type pitcher but has good fastball, won triple crown junior year

P Cosme 26 None very refined excellent control and stamina, throws a good mix of Breaking balls and fastballs

C Clontz 22 LSU Great defender with power

1B Bridges 23 Texas has power to spare, very refined with power but raw everywhere else. Hit 32 homer runs last year

3B Montanez 24 Rice hits to all fields with power good defense for 3rd can play 2nd and 1st

SS Sedlacek 26 None Best prospect of the draft, very refined. has trouble with bat speed

SS Fruto 18 Texas High Raw but has all the skills, a Sedlacek look-alike

CF Munhalls 28 None good skills all over the field, however bat control is a problem, getting old

RF Maldonado 23 Notre Dame best OF prospect excellent bat speed, has power to gaps and good fielding

RF Merrill 22 USC is a Maldonado look alike, but has excellent speed.

It's going to be pointless for me to post up the draft results considering you won't know their skills... I will only post up my players, their skills.

My players:
Round 1:
Bridges 1B
23
S/L
Con G
Pwr D
Run Spd G
Arm F
FLD G
E res F
Trj 2

is currently practicing his trajectory, very raw and poor in everything but power, I needed the power so I'll take the risk of improving him.

Round 2:
Bittner P
19
R/L
93 MPH
Cont: E
Stam: C
Cut: 3
Sld: 1
Cb: 3
Error Prone

Very good pitcher.

Round 3:
Cosme
26
R/L
89MPH
Cont: C
Stam: C
Cut: 3
Sld: 1
Cb: 3
Fork: 2

Refined, could be major league ready with a few months of seasoning.

Round 4:
Scobie
20
R/R
91 MPH
Cont: E
Stam: C
Palm: 3
Sld: 2

Raw, but will have time to develop, good long-term project

Round 5:
Daigle
20
L/L
90
Cont: E
Stam: C
Sld: 1
Cut: 2
Fork 2

Raw same as Scobie to certain degree

Giants also signed Undrafted free agent

Snead:
25
R/L
85
Ctrl: E
Stam: C
Sld: 1
kncb: 1
Cb: 2

Breaking balls are below average, poor fastball and at 25, won't have much time to develop. Needs to play well in minors.

Clay Timpner just called up by Giants after draft! Is expected to be in uniform for tonights game!

ROCKIES BEAT GIANTS IN WALK-OFF FASHION

ROCKIES 6 GIANTS 5

Dexter Fowler delivers with an walk-off double. After Medders got the first out, he ran into trouble with Matt Murton and gave up a double. Fowler stepped up to the plate and hit a line shot down the line for the win. Lowry gave up 5 runs in the 2nd, which hurt the team although he settled down afterwards. Clay Timpner finally made his debut, going 1-1 as a pinch hitter. His first hit, a single off of Franklin Morales in the 9th to start the 3 run rally. The woes for Brandon Medders continue.

5 Rounds??? What did you do? Did you trade for draft picks?

CLAY TIMPNER LINES OUT IN GIANTS WIN

It was another good game today at Coors field, but the Giants pulled it off 2-1 to win and snap a 3 game Rockie winning streak.

@cubs, you can't trade for draft picks. And their isn't even 5 rounds in the draft, I just pretend their is a rounds 3-5.

Also, don't quote the whole post, just quote what you have a question or comment about. It wastes space.

Ok, I'm sure you did know that.

I don't like only having 2 rounds so I just "inserted" my own to 3 rounds. Where basically, I was the only one who picks. And my choices were from the free agent market, which by the way had a plethora of great undrafted talent.

Edit- in series finale, Timpner goes 0-4. Is 1-6 lifetime.

OUCH! 7-2 JONATHAN SANCHEZ OUT FOR 16 DAYS

Citing elbow pains as the culprit. Keiichi Yabu has been called up in his place.

STRUGGLING FRED LEWIS OPTIONED TO AAA

He's been very disappointing this year said manager Bruce Bochy. Justin Ruggiano has taken his place in LF. Bochy said he'll be splitting time with CF Clay Timpner.

BAY BRIDGE SERIES PREVIEW

3 game homestand @ Image

Image VS Image

Game 1: Barry Zito Image

Game 2: Noah Lowry Image

Game 3: Randy Johnson Image

PLAYER TO WATCH FOR

Clay Timpner 1-6
Image

He gets the start in game 1 and will get atleast 2 at-bats in the last two games, the GM has already cited that he expects results from this series.

GIANTS WIN 1-0 IN GAME 1

Zito pitched great against his former team as he throws a CG. 1 Run in the 1st was all that was needed.

AND THAT'S ALL SHE WROTE!

Giants win 4-3 with a walk-off. Clay Timpner got the game winning run, while Edgar Renteria got the game-winning hit.

GIANTS COMPLETE THE SWEEP OF CROSS-TOWN RIVALS!

Randy Johnson got the start and immediately got out of a first inninng jam and then settled down to retired 15 consecutive players. It also seems that Timpner will be staying at the ML level.

In other news.... The Giants are a mere 1 game out of first behind the Dodgers.
