The one who brought the idea to the site is back to make another one!

I haven't yet selected a team but have brought it down to my final 5. I want your help on who I should be. Here's my list of 5 in NO PARTICULAR order:

1) Kansas City Royals
2) Pittsburgh Pirates (Like last time)
3) Florida Marlins
4) San Francisco Giants
5) Boston Red Sox

All you have to do is tell me what team you would recommend me being.
On a side note, you don't have to recommend any of the teams on the list it can be from any team.

I am using up-to-date rosters as well as tons of real players.

How about the royals(mike Jacobs will lead you to victory)

You should do a challenging team like the giants or maybe the marlins, not the pirates because you already did that and alot of people have done them

Yeah in my mind the Pirates were pretty low on my list.

The Royals should be challenging.

I'm leaning toward Royals/Giants beacause:

A) I like them as a team
B) They'll be challenging

I kind of want to do the Nationals but they don't have any players I really like.

The giants!
actually, they're pretty good as long as you have Pablo Sandoval (edit a Great player) and Fred Lewis up to their current form.
but in the game, their crappy bullpen (also, edit Brian Wilson) and horrible infield make a good challenge.
make sure you get rid of Zito and rowand too, you get tons more salary space that way.

otherwise, do the royals.

do you edit players?

I only edit players to make them into other players. I will also edit players only to make them up-to-date i.e I edited Joel Pineiro to C stamina beacause he's a starter now. I try not to edit to much though, so I probably won't edit Wilson and more than likely won't edit Lewis.

IF I do the Giants, I will evaluate the first month of Rowand's and Zito's performance and then decide from there.

I'd go with the Royals. Not only do they have waterfalls in their ballpark, but they're a small-market team in a tight division.

I'd go with the giants. They'd be fun to play the GM with. You have a one-dimensional team (starting pitching), so it's nice to determine how much of your biggest talent (starting pitching) are you willing to give up to boost your lack-luster offense, bad defense, slow runners, and bad bullpen (this isn't based off this year, so ignore if things have improved). I'd also look at the stats and edit Lincecum and Cain to what they are now, but be fair. Edit other players too, both adding and taking away from stats. That way the game will be more exciting. Also, heavily boost the Dodgers too for more of a challenge and make them like they have been this year. Especially Billingsly. That will make it a lot of fun to manage and a race that will go down to the final game.

I agree.
Affeldt, No Romo, Wilson sucks = bad bullpen (Affeldt's been lights out!)

Oh yes! I have edited Billingsley tremdously. I think I am going to keep Lincecum and Cain the same. I usually won't edit players to show how well they are doing this year.

The only minor thing I'm not going to like about the Giants is that I will have a poor draft spot. Of course, I should still be able to find a good pitcher at 32 or 29 or so.

Also, if you can give me some advice on who I should edit on the Dodgers and how.

I think it's down to a 3 team race:

Giants
Royals
Marlins

*** Thank you Steven, I probably would have missed editing Affeldt. Now I probably will alittle bit.
The starting pitching probably is the only good thing about the Giants too.

Also, can I pencil all you guys in as followers of the soon to be franchise log?

I would suggest the giants :)

1) Well, one of the best pitching, but Johnson is going soon and Zito is pretty crappy. Make sure you edit that bullpen.

2) That offense is on and off. It would be interesting to be leading in a 1 run game since the 1st inning right?

3) There will not be any "free" runs since you don't have any major home-run threats. Make sure youput Kung-Fu Panda in. :)

4) I don't think the fielding is any better so good luck with GO and AO.

5) Well, almost everyone else says so.

Ok, ok, can I get any suggestions on HOW to edit the bullpen and WHO to edit in the bullpen? I would greatly appreciate it.

Don't worry either, Kung-Fu-Panda is going to be there and starting probably at 3rd. I will also have Ishikawa, Conor Gillaspie and I believe one or 2 other real players.

Yeah, the fielding is pretty poor so I would definately look into a young good fielder (i.e Asdrubal Cabrera).

I'm starting to lean heavily on the Giants.

Post subject:  Re: He's back to make another franchise log!

Add in Sergio Romo, make Wilson a little better (he does have, what, 20 saves), and maybe some other guy, i dunno.
jonathan sanchez too, make him a starter. Other than that, just put in Sandoval and edit any other guys (I still say Fred Lewis, maybe you could make Manny Burress or Eugenio Velez...)

Edit: Started my new log!

Post subject:  Re: He's back to make another franchise log!

Velez is already in the game.

Is it possible that you can give me a scouting report on Sergio Romo and Jonathan Sanchez?
(In Power Pro terms)

Only if you can, if not it's fine.

Thanks!

Any other suggestions of who I should add to the Giants roster that could be considered worthwhile? (That are in the Giants farm)
