actually, they're pretty good as long as you have Pablo Sandoval (edit a Great player) and Fred Lewis up to their current form.
but in the game, their crappy bullpen (also, edit Brian Wilson) and horrible infield make a good challenge.
make sure you get rid of Zito and rowand too, you get tons more salary space that way.

You have a one-dimensional team (starting pitching), so it's nice to determine how much of your biggest talent (starting pitching) are you willing to give up to boost your lack-luster offense, bad defense, slow runners, and bad bullpen (this isn't based off this year, so ignore if things have improved).

I'd go with the giants. They'd be fun to play the GM with. I'd also look at the stats and edit Lincecum and Cain to what they are now, but be fair. Edit other players too, both adding and taking away from stats. That way the game will be more exciting. Also, heavily boost the Dodgers too for more of a challenge and make them like they have been this year. Especially Billingsly. That will make it a lot of fun to manage and a race that will go down to the final game.
