The 2008 Season wasn't exactly the best season for the Red Sox, but it was good. The Tampa Bay Rays finally exploded on the scene - leading the majors in wins. Because of that, Boston took second in the division which was good enough for the Wild Card. However, the lost the ALCS to the Rays. Now, they seek revenge. Against the Rays. Against the Yankees. Against the entire American and National League. Boston hopes to the World Series this year and prove they're the best team in the world.

Will you still be drafting some Hall-of Famers or none at all?

I'll be drafting a few, but I won't go all out and get Cobb, Speaker and Jackson again. Like I said in my original post, having a stacked team isn't fun at all because you know you're going to win the World Series. People like Horsnby, Ruth, Gerhig, they'll be okay to have. I just won't overload my team.

Ok that's what I figured but was just making sure since your post sounded like you wanted none to make it a challenge.

I would go for an all-defensive, no hit lineup.

I forgot to save and the draft (100 rounds...) was never done. I didn't feel like dealing with the AI to get the same players again.

The Red Sox Finalize Roster; Announce Rotation and Lineup

Terry "Tito" Francona announced in a press conference earlier today that the Red Sox have finalized everything - from the roster to the lineup. With that said, he passed out a copy of his plan to every member of the press corps. Josh Beckett will be the ace for the Red Sox while Dice-K is recovering from an injury. Jon Lester is taking his place in the rotation, which is terrific news.

Boston is also trying to make current Triple-A Closer, Daniel Bard, a starter. He'll be the staff ace for the Pawtucket Red Sox this year. Lars Anderson will be batting forth for Pawtucket. He's the number one prospect for the Red Sox...
