I have the old version of this game, and I was debating about buying the new version, but before I do so, I wanted to check the Red Sox roster. I only play the season mode (success just didn't make much sense to me) and I wanted to see if some of the new players are on the roster (Ellsbury, Buchholz, Lowrie)

Thanks

Those 3 you listed are in. Didn't check anyone else though.

And...YES! Its totally worth buying the new version. Even though half the rosters are outdated by now, its worth it just to have all the current players for this year in the game. Some of the stats also seem low/high since they are based on the 07 season, but you can always adjust them and swap teams with players to update to your liking.

Absolutly. Life mode makes the game well, well worth buying.

easily. Only 1 thing to change. 10-20 save slots versus 3.

Guys like Ellsbury need tweaking sometimes too. I think he has C speed and he's one of the faster guys out there right now.

I thought it was D. I was surpised as he is one of the fastest players out there. Actually, its amaxing how many speedters are coming up this year or will probably come up next year. You have Elsbury from the Sox, Gardner (who I believe is even faster then Elsbury) and Christian from the Yanks, and a few other guys from a few different teams I don't remember. All of these guys are supposed to be some of the fastest if not the fastest in the game (Ichiro I believe is the only guy these guys would really have to compete with).

Nope it's C. And  , are you serious?

Yes, Ellsbury isn't the fastest player. I'd probably put Ichiro ahead of him, but definetly Gardner. I looked and compared them and I heard a few experts saying the same. Gardner stole 15 or so while getting on base less then a 8th of the time of Ellsbury (he didn't play that long). Ellsbury played a full season and had a little over 50 steals, not even 5 times as many in 8 time more playing.

not even close. what about taveras, reyes, crawford (not SB fast, but just plain fast), and ichiro?
