Massives Walk-Off against Cubs
June 3, 2008- The Massives beat the Cubs today, after a rocky start by Techer, and a walk-off hit. The Massives scored first, when Alex Gordon brought in Kennedy with a single to make it 1-0. Techer ran into trouble in the 3rd, when Derrick Lee hit an RBI single, and then Aramis Ramirez brought him in with a 2 run homer to make it 1-3. Both starting pitchers settled down then, and Ted Lilly was solid for the Cubs, only giving up that one run. He was pulled in the 7th though, and that's when the Massives went to work. Adams got an RBI single in that inning to cut the lead to 1. In the 8th, Cruse got a bloop single to score a run, and tie the game at 3-3. The game went into the 9th, with no one scoring, so it proceeded into the 10th. Mark DeRosa got a lead-off double, but Daniel Slow escaped the inning with no harm. In the bottom of the 10th, the heart of the Massives order was due up. Gordon started off with a ground-out to 2nd, his only out of the day. Phillips flew out to center. And then on a high changeup, Terry jacked one to right center, over the fence, for a walk-off homer. The crowd went wild, and Terry was tackled at home plate. We managed a word with him after the game. "I've always been a clutch hitter, and I just proved that today." After saying that, Terry was pied by speedy center fielder Will Adams, who managed to get away unscathed. Terry then left to go clean up. So, out next article will be on the draft, on June 10th, then a game that night with Stan Dynamo pitching against the Astros. Until then, see ya!

What's Techer's record right now? It seems like every update you have him in, he gets an ND.

AgentP: If you would kindly check the 1st post, this is on All Star. And our entire team is made of All Stars.

Dish: He is 6-0 right now. He does get a lot of no decisions, doesn't he.

Gordon Goes Deep Multiple Times, Massives Beat Astros
June 10, 2008- The Massives beat down the Astros today, scoring double digit runs, mainly off the bat of Alex Gordon. The Massives were ready to go early, as Adams and Kennedy both got singles in the bottom of the 1st. Gordon brought them home with a 3 run homer to right center, to make it 3-0. The Massives kept it going in the 2nd, when Kennedy got an RBI single, and then Gordon hit another 3 run homer to boost the lead up to 7-0. Cruse got a sac fly in the same inning, making it 8-0. Alex Gordon wasn't done yet though, as he hit another homer, this time scoring 2 runs in the 4th inning to make it 10-0. That would be all the Massives had in them today, but the Astros hadn't even started. In the 5th, Cruz Jr. smacked an RBI double, then scored on a passed ball to make it 10-2. Hunter Pence got an RBI double of his own in the 6th, making it 10-3. Cruz struck again in the 9th, hitting a solo homer and scoring the final run, making the score 10-4. We talked with game MVP Alex Gordon afterwards. " I've been swinging the bat well lately, and today I did the same, just with more power than usual. It feels good to get 8 out of your teams 10 RBI's." We'll see if he can stay hot against the White Sox on the 18th, who kept his power in check last game, but are only 1-13 against the Massives this year. So, until then, see ya!

Yeah, I decided to use a power swing every at bat with him this game. That's what happened. :D After Gordon, the rest of the lineup didn't as good as usual, besides Cruse.
