History has been made!

For the 1st time in history, the franchise of the Washington Nationals made the playoffs. They edge out the Florida Marlins for the wild card spot. They defeated the Phillies on the last day 3-2. Zimmerman was the hero as he drove in a bases clearing come-from-behind double to give them a lead they would never look back. Duke pitched 7 strong, striking out 10. C.Cordero closed the door with 2 strong innings of work for his major league leading 45 save. Cordero finished the season with a 1.80 ERA and 45/46 in save chances. They will play the LA Dodgers in a matchup that might show the true colors of an organizations that was predicted to finish last. The new GM definitely played his part as he was responsible for the trade of Bay, Haren and Duke. This was what he had to say. "This is a wonderful experience for me. I came into the season, hoping to only rebuild the team, and not finish last. This is amazing. I would like to thank my scouts, for all of their hard works. I would like to thank God for all his help that carried us far into the season. We'll be playing the Dodgers in LA soon and we'll be using Duke, Haren and Morris."

Speed: Dodgers. Furcal, Pierre, Loney are all faster than Cuzman, Milledge and Bay.

Bullpen: Nationals. Since the Dodgers traded away Saito, they had gaps in their bullpen sometimes. However, C.Cordero and Valverde are solid and had excellent seasons.

Nationals are going to SWEEP!!! Very interesting and good log so far.

Game 1: Nationals 5-1 Dodgers, Haren strikes out 21 in a complete game.

Game 2: Nationals 0-1 Dodgers, Duke pitches a complete game, but loses and he fails to recieve run support as Billingsley shuts the door.

Game 3: Nationals 7-5 Dodgers, Morris does his job, but Gonzalez nearly blows it and and Cordero comes in to seal the game.

Game 4: Dodgers 5-4 Nationals, The Dodgers won in extras as a misthrow from Guzman gave them the lead.

Game 5: Dodgers 5-4 Nationals, The Nationals are eliminated from the NLDS despite their fairy tale run.
