He was able to settle down after that, and ended the month on a strong note, which the team hopes will carry into June.Verdict: C Rank

Analysis: Knuckles was bumped up to #3 in the lineup after his terrific April. He didn't show any signs of slowing down, as he continued to mash the ball. He lead the team with a whopping 17 extra base hits (8 doubles, 2 triples, and seven home runs). Verdict: S Rank

Analysis: Espio once again had a solid month. He continued to display excellent plate discipline, with a 1.14 K/BB rate. While his average wasn't nearly as high as April (.384 to .295), he was able to hit 4 home runs. Verdict: A Rank

Analysis: Shadow had an absolutely ghastly month of May. He was one of the least efficient hitters in baseball, as he produced only 12 total runs in his 112 plate appearances. His average was a dreadful .188 on the month, and he hit just one home run. When asked about his performance, he relplied: "WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME!!" Verdict: E Rank

Analysis: The blue blur continued to hit well after he was moved up to second in the order, and he didn't slow down when moved back down when Blaze came back. He hit .303 on the month and was able to get on base at a higher clip, which led him to be a menace on the basepaths- 22 steals and 19 runs scored.Verdict: B Rank

Analysis: Beginning with his two home run performance against the Arizona Diamondbacks in mid May, Silver was baseball's best hitter. Up to that point, he had hit 1 home run while slugging .369. From that game to the end of the month, he hit 7 home runs and slugged a monster .930. On top of that he was able to display great plate discipline, drawing 15 walks. With his 1.066 OPS for the month, Silver was no doubt the teams' top hitter.Verdict: S Rank

Unfortunately, she also got injured twice while running the bases, knocking her out three games a piece. Obviously, the team hope she stays healthy to provide the lead-off spot with a very good table setter.Verdict: B Rank

Analysis: Vector got into a slump he just couldn't seem to shake in May. His average dropped from .268 to .223. If there was a positive, he did manage to hit a grand slam against the Cardinals.Verdict: E Rank

Team to Bench Shadow the Hedgehog
San Jose-- Sonics manager E-2003 Neo announced today that the team will bench Shadow the Hedgehog for a few games to get him back on track. The team hopes that this will have the same effect on Shadow as it did Sonic, who was hitting .193 with no homers and 4 RBIs before his benching, and now is at .277 with 2 homers and 22 RBIs. Shadow is currently hitting just .223 with 3 home runs and 20 RBIs, with an OPS of just .632 out of the #5 spot in the order. "My performance has been pathetic" Shadow said. "I guess I deserve this."

Sonics release CF Fussell
San Jose-- The time had come for the LVP. The Sonics have announced today that they have cut ties with backup centerfielder and pinch hitter Fussell. Fussell hit just .181 with 1 home run and 2 RBIs in 102 plate appearances. His OPS was a very low .490. "It's very unfortunate, but it was time I guess" said team manger Neo. Fussell made the team's opening day due to being able to play centerfield, the only one who could do so besides Amy Rose. He struggled in a platoon early in the season, and never saw his bat heat up to an acceptable level. When the team signed Metal Sonic, the writing was on the wall for Fussell. Amy (.327) and Metal (.308) are much better options at centerfield.

The True Story of what Happened...
Shadow the Hedgehog dried himself off with a towel. He had just been drenched by Gatorade after his walk-off single in the teams thrilling 10-9 win in 10 innings against the Reds- a game in which they were trailing 8-2 at one point. But all anyone could talk about was Shadow's performance- he went 3-5 with a homer, a double, 2 runs scored, and of course, the walk off RBI single. Shadow didn't care about such things, after all, he is the ultimate lifeform. But he was certainly surprised by the concerned looks of some of his teammates. "What's wrong" he said. He turned towards Sonic. "Look for yourself." Sonic pointed towards Fussell's direction. Or what remained of him anyways. "Fussell" was just a shell- underneath was a Shadow android. The same ones Eggman mass deployed after recovering Shadow after his fall from space. Shadow clenched his teeth. But why... "Such a worthless robot" E-123 Omega said. "What this really means" said Sonic. "Is that Eggman is up to another one of his schemes." The team turned towards Eggman. "Now, now" Eggman said, putting his hands up in a gesture of innocence. "I'm just as confused as you guys are actually!" "Yeah right Egghead, we know you violated our truce, and your going to pay for it!" Sonic said. Tails and Knuckles flanked him. "You're not fooling me again!" Knuckles exclaimed, clenching his fists. "STOP IT!!!" A voice yelled from the back of the room. It was Vector's.
"Look" he said. "Now, I know Dr Eggman normally is up to no good, but he's helped some of you guys in the past. And he's done a heck of a job as the team's closer." He turned to Sonic. "Why don't you let Espio, Charmy, and I investigate this. After all, we are expert detectives. Whaddya say boys!" Espio and Charmy nodded in agreement. "Alright" Sonic agreed reluctantly. "But make sure the investigation is quick." "I can't imagine we'd be able to do it that fast for story purposes" Vector replied. "Now let's celebrate our victory!
