National League All-Stars @ American League All-Stars
July 15th, 2008- The AL toppled the NL in this year's All-Star game, at Yankee Stadium. The NL started hot, scoring in the 1st inning on a solo homer by Mets' slugger Carlos Delgado. They had plenty of hits early in the game, but couldn't bring the runners in. In the 4th, the AL scored when Indians third baseman Casey Blake knocked in his teammate, Grady Sizemore with a single. Sizemore struck again the next inning, knocking in two with a 2 RBI double. He won the MVP award for the game, going 2-4 with 2 doubles. That would be all the scoring for the game, and the NL would fall to the AL. This means the the team representing the AL in the World Series will have home field advantage. Representing the Cardinals, Pujols was 2-2 in the game, Glaus and Duncan both went 0-1, and neither Carpenter or Isringhausen pitched.

And with that posted, this is where your job, as a follower of this log, starts.

I'm looking to make another trade before the deadline, so what do you guys think are my needs, that I should try to trade for? Or do you have any specific players in mind? I think I might put Izturis where Barton is, and then have Barton bat 6th and bump everyone else down one spot.

IMO, I could definitely use some offense, but I don't want to replace Barton(he's young) or Molina(dat arm strength <3). Franklin has been struggling as set up man, too. As for whom I'll be trading, Looper and plenty of other unused pitchers are sitting in AAA, and I wouldn't mind dumping Wainwright. So, please fire away with suggestions!
