May 10th, 2008.

Mariners lose in slugfest by Sox.

Mariners: 5
White Sox: 9

Win: Javier Vasquez
Save: Bobby Jenks (6)
Loss: Carlos Silva
HR: Jim Thome (10) (11)
Paul Konerko (9)
Jermaine Dye (9)
Carlos Quentin (5)
Ichiro Suzuki (4)

Javier Vasquez: (8 & 1/3 IP, 5 R, 15 H, 0 K'S)
Jim Thome: (2-5, 2 HR, 4 RBI)

In the top of the second inning, Jermaine Dye hit a solo homer to change the score to 1-0 as well as delivering the games first hit.
In the same inning, Carlos Quentin hit a double and was later drove in by Crede to change the score to 2-0.

AJ Pierzynski singled then advanced to second on a Carlos Quentin grounder, Joe Crede then hit a blooper to centre field which dropped to score AJ to change the score to 3 to nothing Chicago.

Ichiro Suzuki then hit a triple to right centre field, afterwards, Jose Lopez hit a bloop single that only fell because the infield was in to put the Mariners on the scoreboard and score the speedy centre-fielder to make it 3-1 Chicago.

In the top of the fifth, Jim Thome hit a solo shot to right field on a hanging slurve for his tenth of the season, changing the score to 4-1 Chicago, Carlos Silva left the game in the top of the sixth due to that.

Ichiro Suzuki then hit a solo home run to right field on a meatball to half the Chicago White Sox lead to 4-2 in the bottom of the sixth.

Adrian Beltre hit a single to right which was followed up by a single to centre by Brad Wilkerson, Kenji Johjima advanced the runners on a sacrifice bunt to 2nd and 3rd. Yuniesky Betancourt was then pinch hit for Michael Morse, he then lined out to second and Brad Wilkerson was out returning to the bag for the double play, ending the inning.

On the first pitch of the top of the ninth, Carlos Quentin hit a solo shot to deep left field off reliever Brandon Morrow, changing the score to 5-2.

Jim Thome hit a three-run home run in the top of the ninth off Sean Green to essentially finish off the opposition according to Jack Merluzzi, increasing their lead to six runs.

Paul Konerko hit a solo home run in the top of the ninth off Sean Green, going back to back, increasing the lead to 7 runs.

In the bottom of the ninth, the Mariners hit three singles in a row, loading the bases with no outs, Michael Morse then grounded out, keeping the bases loaded, but not scoring a run, Jose Vidro then singled to right field, scoring one run, 9-3 Chicago. Jeff Clement then pinch hit for 1st Baseman Greg Norton. He singled to right field scoring two runs, 9-5 Chicago. Javier Vasquez who had been pitching from the start then left the game in favour of Bobby Jenks. Ichiro then came up to the plate and hit an infield single, loading the bases again. Jose Lopez then doubled off to end the game.

Record: 16-23

How do you guys like this format? It takes me more time but shows more stuff.

I'd rather see your record added, and the box score instead of a full write up. But its whatever you like best, whatever keeps you into it.

May 13th, 2008.

Mariners acquire Ryan Sweeney from division rival Oakland.

The Seattle Mariners have acquired young but talented outfielder Ryan Sweeney in exchange for Justin Ruggiano. Oaklands GM also included 100 bucks for dinner that night. Ryan Sweeney is represented by AgentP and will be earning the major league minimum at $390,000.

It depends whether you want a younger (Butler/etc) or older player (Pena).. but yeah, however you go about I think you should sell off older guys.

 forgot to add the record, I'm currently putting it out like I show just our record for one game, then the division standings in the next, so on and so forth. I really need to remember this stuff, heh.

We can't be friends anymore...

But more color is good. More color is always good

Also, don't be afraid to use size and bold to make certain things stand out (such as headlines or anything before a colon)

Are you saying it's wrong to talk to a bag of Skittles? Because if so, I'm going to need to rethink a lot of things. :P
