How did you get New Jersey as your team location? I didn't think that was an option. I probably would have used it if it is.
I used Scranton since it's closest to NJ. I just called them the NJ Eagles.

Alright, Pinhead, your time is uhp. :)

Just kidding. I'd prefer NJ.

As long as it's Ocean City New Jersey, I'm with you in that. :)

It's South Jersey, I said that. And I like Wildwood more. :)

Adding each teams key acquisitons, if you guys want to see any team's full roster, let me know. After that, I probably go into games.

I'm gonna finish that last update on a later date. With that said, I'm gonna try and get the games going. I plan on doing one game per series with possibly a series preview.

(71-34) Eagles vs White Sox (59-46): Series Preview (7/31-8/2)

To finish out July and head into August, we play Chicago for three at home.

The SouthSiders have the best ERA in their division (4.20) with the least runs allowed (464). They aren't keen to walking hitters (337) or letting them hit homers either (79). Meanwhile, they're in the middle of the pack for offensive stats, with the exception of hitting homeruns (112). We dominate them in all categories, however.

The top guys for us to look out for on the team are Jon Lester (95/C/A), whom has had a solid season for the Pale Hose (81.1 IP, 2.88 ERA, 7-3, 2 CG, .236 BAA), Adam Dunn (E/A/E/E/E/E), who continues to rank among the best in bombs but has also raised his average (.314, 27 HR, 66 RBI), as well as vet Kevin Youkilis (D/C/D/D/C/C). Youk has likely had his best year statistically since he's been with the White Sox, at a team-leading .315 with 6 home runs, 9 triples, and 54 runs driven in, all of which he's done in 105 games.

The White Sox have won 6 of their last 10, have done well vs AL opponents this season (50-37), and they have the edge in 3 games against us (2-1). Their record on the road is 30-22 while at home they're 29-24. Chicago has taken 14 of 23 in July.

There's certainly motivation for the White Sox to win this series, since they're two out of the Central race, but I'm confident our guys will pull it out.

Game 1 will see Matt Moore vs Gavin Floyd, followed by King Felix vs Francisco Liriano in Game 2, then lastly Cliff Lee vs Brett Myers.

(71-34) Eagles vs White Sox (59-46): Game 1

Blake Carter kicked the scoring off with a 3-run bomb in the bottom of the 1st, but he wasn't alone as young Manny Machado singled a run home as well. It wasn't until the third when Chicago got their first hit via a Alejandro De Aza single to left. Matt Moore held the opposing offense down while Blake Carter got him run support once again, this time a first-pitch home run to center. At 5-0 in the 6th, young reliever Conti came into the game for starter Gavin Floyd whom had allowed all 5 runs. The game was quiet until A.J. Pierzynski thrust some life into Chicago with a solo shot in the 7th. Matt Moore settled down, and while he was mostly dominant, he was not able to go the full 9 innings. The White Sox' last attempt at putting a dent in our lead was in their half of the 9th when Jose Lopez hit an RBI bloop to center, scoring Kevin Youkilis. It was then that reliever Glen Perkins came onto the mound, only to give up a single to Brent Morel. Luckily, Dustin Ackley was able to throw out Lopez before he could reach home plate. To seal the win, Greg Golson grounded back to Ackley for out #3.

Player of the Game: SP Matt Moore, the winning pitcher

Final Score:
White Sox: 2
Eagles: 5

W - M. Moore (11-2) | L - Floyd (6-4) | SV - Perkins (2)
HR: Carter 2 (24, 25), Pierzynski (7)

B. Carter: 2-4, 2 HR, 4 RBI
C. Davis: 2-4, 2 2B, R
Machado: 2-4, RBI
B. Phillips: 3-4, R
M. Moore: 8 1/3 IP, 6 H, 3 K, 2 ER, 1 HR
Perkins: 2/3 IP, 1 H

---------------------------------

A. Dunn: 1-4, 2B
Youkilis: 1-4, 2B, R
J. Lopez: 1-4, RBI, SO
Pierzynski: 2-4, 2B, HR
Floyd: 5 IP, 12 H, 5 ER, 2 HR
Conti: 3 IP, 4 H, 0 ER

----------------------------------
*The team's on a 5-game winning streak with the win.
*It was also noted after the game that SP Brooks upped his top speed to 93 in practice. Kinda crazy considering back in 2012 he had a top speed of 82 MPH.
-----------------------------------------

Agents, if you wanna see your player's stats this game or any game when they aren't listed, or what they're doing in practice, let me know.

I would like to congratulate myself on being able to predict the future. I should be proud

Yeah, well. :)

I liked the idea of having the character's thoughts be italics that others had implemented.

Carter was happy to contribute 2 homers and Machado was happy to pitch in with an RBI!
