Mendenhals Get Another Walk-Off Victory in Extra Innings to Down Orioles

VANCOUVER, B.C., CANADA - The Mendenhals poured on the drama again today, defeating the Orioles again in 10 innings, 3-2.

The scoring started in the bottom of the first, when Tim Inidator lined a single past J.J. Hardy at short to bring in Will Adams from 2nd, putting the Mens on top early, 1-0.

The Orioles then got a run of their own in the top of the 3rd, when Robert Andino found the gap in left field, bringing in Mark Reynolds, tying the game at 1 a piece. They would take the lead in the 6th, when Adam Jones shot a double past a diving Derek Wayne, scoring Jim Thome from 2nd, making the score 2-1.

In the bottom of the 7th, Darren Escobar got a leadoff single to left field, and after that, was pinch-ran for by Yuudai Aoi. He proceeded to steal 2nd, and Will Adams drove him in to knot the game at 2.

There was no scoring until extra innings again, when, with no-one on and 1 out, Daniel Potter hit his second homer in as many days into the Par 8 Bar in CF, giving the Mendenhals another extra-inning win.

I hope he (or I) does (or do) well, but I don't think I'll be doing a game recap of that start. Maybe a blurb before the next big game update, but nothing more.

And I hope he has a bit more time to make some paper cup pyramids, I think his usage will be as frequent as Duane Below out of the Tigers bullpen IRL, but I may give him a spot start here and there.
