St. Louis Cardinals(9-12) @ Pittsburgh Pirates(10-10)

The Pirates offense once again came up empty, but this time against Kyle Lohse who threw a 3 hit shutout. Hideo Nomo had to make his debut because of pitcher's fatigue to the other starters and boy did he debut. 7.1 IP and 1 run allowed. The only run of the game was from a Ryan Ludwick homerun. The Bucs continue to lose these close games. Bad news for the Pirates is that Jeff Clement had to leave the game after fouling a pitch off his foot, he will be ready for next game.

Philledelphia Phillies(14-11) @ Pittburgh Pirates(11-13)

The Pirates had a nice Sunday afternoon as they beat the Phillies 6-3. Thanks to small ball, the Pirates scored 5 in the 6th off of Cliff Lee with 2 sac flies, a bloop 2 run single and a wild pitch. The Pirates are not a homerun team but they were able to show why today. With a comfy 6-1 lead, the phillies came back in the 8th with rbi singles by Utley and Howard but Matt Capps was able to shut the door in the 9th for the save and a Bucs win. Minor injruies continue to plague the team as Ohlendorf left in the 7th with elbow pains and before this Hart was out for 3 days, which will not impact his start anways.

Pittsburgh Pirates(12-15) @ New York Mets(20-7)

Unbelieveable. Thats what every Mets and Pirates fan were saying after todays game vs the first place Mets. Johan Santana had a perfect game through 6 until McCutcher broke it up, at that time the Mets were leading 3-0 but Pittsburgh got 1 in the 7th and 1 in the 8th to make it 3-2. Beltran had 2 homeruns in the game and 1 in the 8th made it 4-3 and the Bucs trailed 6-3 going into the 9th but thats when it happened. They were able to rally capped by another Andy LaRoche clutch sac fly to tie it off of K-Rod and the game would go to extras. Jones once again came up big for the Pirates with a 2 run single with 2 outs in the 10th, they would go on to win 7-5 in a great comeback win in Shea Stadium to prevent a 3 game sweep.

Pittsburgh Pirates(13-16) @ Washington Nationals(11-18)

The Pirates lost a heartbreaker to the Nationals in 10 from nationals Park. The only 2 runs for the Bucs came in the 6th with a McCutchen homerun and an rbi single by Cedeno but McCucthen would do it again driving in the go ahead run in the 10th with a ball that JUST went fair down the right field line but it wasn't easy today for Matt Capps. With runners on second and third for the nats and no outs in the 10th, Luis Rivas threw a runner out at home and then the Pirates tried to turn a game ending DP but could'nt turn it, Guzman would single to win it after. Meanwhile, Ohlendorf continues to K people but thoese strikeouts are not letting him go deep into games.

San Fransisco Giants(13-20) @ Pittburgh Pirates(13-20)

The Pirates have been swept by the Giants and continue to fall in the NL Central standings. Noah Lowry threw a complete game along with a 2 run single to take down the Bucs. Homeruns from Sandoval and Molina helped Lowry defeat the Pirates in a 6-2 loss. Ohlendorf struggled and gave up 4 runs in only 5 innings and Bautista gave up a 2-run shot to Bengie Molina later on to secure a win. Andy LaRoche also had to leave the game after landing aquawardly during a dive but Rivas was already used as a pinch hitter so Pearce had to come into the game at third base where he didn't have much experience. The Pirates fall to 1-7 in May.

Giants win 6-2
