that'd be a great trade.
and instead of 2 relievers, he trades sean marshall. and another random guy.

Or 1 RP(one of the ones I think you mentioned), and Murton and Marshall...
Sounds like a quality trade for you....

Lee may be on the 15-Day DL, but it's a 33 day injury. Soriano's been injured for a while and won't be back until around the All-Star game (What a coinkidink!) and the same thing will happen to Lee. I don't know if I really need a first baseman. I have Ward, Nady, and Doumit, but you know. Just considering for the future of the team.

EDIT: I don't want to trade Marshall because he may not have enough stamina to be a starter, but he COULD be a very good long reliever or a starter if I need him to. I have Lieber and Nomo on my team and I love having them because they can start games if one of my rotation guys can't. I want to call up Chuck James because he has good stamina and he's a lefty which I need more of, but who am I supposed to send down? Dempster? Marmol? Howry? Wood? I can't send any of those guys down so James is stuck where he is for now.

Right now, I guess a new first baseman isn't really that important. I'll just switch off Nady, Doumit, and Ward at first base, and I have a first baseman in my minor league system, but I don't want to call him up because he sucks, and I just drafted him.

I really want to work on my rotation and bullpen. I suppose Lincecum for rotation and Cain for bullpen, or put both in the rotation and put Marquis and Marshall in the bullpen with B stamina. That would be awesome. Four pitchers with B stamina in my bullpen! I guess I'll have to wait until next season to get James up to the major league team because odds are Lieber or Nomo (or both) will retire at the end of the season and I can bring him up along with possibly a F/A acquisition over the off-season.

EDIT: And by next season with the way I'm training him he'll be WAY better. Working on his stamina now, might switch over to top speed soon which is 91 mph. And during spring training I'll teach him a new pitch! Perfect!

Thank you, and yes I am. :P From the experience I got in last years season mode, I already know what to do to manage my team.

Okay, how about this?

Trade relief pitcher Angel Guzman to A's for Jack Cust, then trade Matt Murton to Giants for Lincecum and Cain?

EDIT: Nevermind Cust. I just tested out a trade with the Dodgers. Relief pitcher Michael Wuertz for outfielder Matt Kemp was successful! The great thing about Kemp is that he's only 23, he has great abilities, he plays ALL the outfield positions, he has a 390 contract, and he's not a F/A for four more years!

7/5 - Cubs Call Up James; Send Down Nomo
The Cubs have sent right handed pitcher Hideo Nomo down to AAA and brought back up lefty Chuck James. "There is nothing wrong with Nomo" says Cubs GM, "Nomo was just getting tired and we needed a fresher arm. Nomo WILL be back very soon. We just have too many good players and not enough room for all of them on the roster."

7/8 - Cubs Acquire Kemp From Dodgers
The Cubs have acquired outfielder Matt Kemp from the Dodgers today. The Cubs traded right handed relief pitcher Michael Wuertz to the Dodgers. Kemp should be up with the team playing very shortly and the players and fans are very excited to see him play in a Cubs uniform.

Matt Kemp - (RF/CF/LF)
B/T: R/R
Age: 23
NOT eligible for ROY

TRJ: 2
CON: 9 (D)
PWR: 132 (C)
RUN SPD: 11 (C)
ARM STR: 9 (D)
FLD: 4 (F)
E RES: 3 (G)

7/8 - Cubs Call Up Kemp; Send Down Murton
Kemp, who was just acquired by the Cubs will be taking the place of Matt Murton on the roster. Murton, who was playing as the every day left fielder replacing the injured Alfonso Soriano has been sent down to AAA. There are rumors going around that Murton may be traded some time this month before the trade deadline, but no one is certain for sure.

Thanks. I thought it was a good trade, too. I wanted Lastings Milledge from the Nationals, but they REFUSED to give him up no matter what offer I made them, so I took Kemp who I think is just as good. I mainly got Kemp to replace Murton who I'm hoping to trade to the Giants for Lincecum and Cain.
