Analysis: Tikal had a pretty solid month of May. While her ERA shot up from 3.83 in April to 4.81 in May, her OPS against fell (.743 to .658). She also managed to win 4 games after failing to win one in April. It's true that she had good run support, but she managed to get a quality start in three of her wins, including a 1-run complete game against the Giants. If there is a concern, it's the very low K rate (2.3 K/9) Verdict: A Rank

Analysis: Sometimes, a flip of the calendar is all a player needs to get on track. That was certainly the case with Tails, as he had a terrific May after a lackluster April. He was able to go 3-1 with an ERA of 2.23, and hitters hit just .201 against him with an OPS of .540. What's most incredible was his ability to eat up innings, as he went at least 7 in each start. The Sonics' definitely hope his success continues to form a formidable 1-2 punch with Tikal. Verdict: S Rank

Analysis: Robbins was the teams' top starter in April, but he was the worst of the bunch in May. He struggled to get through 5 innings most of the time (just over 5 IP per start), and he was overall lackluster on the mound. His walk rate was concerning (4.3 BB/9) as well as his home run rate (1.6 HR/9). Verdict: D Rank

He had two starts without giving up an earned run (against the Cardinals and Royals), but had two dreadful starts against the Giants in which he gave up 14 runs in 8 innings (15.75 ERA). If there's one encouraging sign, it's his strikeout (6.4 K/9) and walk (1.3 BB/9) rates. Verdict: A Rank
