This is ridiculous. I have a lefty-heavy lineup, and every starter I've faced so far has been a lefty. It makes it hard to hit with all my left-handed batters.

April in Review

The Royals had a great first month of the 2013 season, but unfortunately, so did the Cleveland Indians. The Royals went 18-9 in the first month and currently lie a game behind the Indians for the division. Gil Meche has the fourth lowest ERA in the majors at 1.86 as well as the most strikeouts with 62. Joakim Soria is leading the majors in saves with ten, despite having two blown saves in the month. Nick Johnson and Khalil Greene have provided much of the power for the Royals with thirteen homers between them. Johnson is leading the team in RBI with 22. David DeJesus is tied for third with Rickie Weeks in stolen bases with ten, and Mark Teahen and Felipe Lopez are right behind him. The Royals will have to overcome the tough Indians to claim the lead in the division, but there's still plenty of baseball left to play this season.

How do you get to be a leader in strikeouts? I simulated a bit in a season mode, and I had played a game with 11 K's, then the next start, that same player had 14 K's. But, he was in 5th in the MLB for strikeouts. Sabathia had 36 after 2 starts! I also wanted to know how you keep your log going for so long. I love reading it, but I can't finish mine.

I have no idea how to be the strikeouts leader. My pitchers just get a lot of strikeouts in the games I simulate. I once simmed a game aganst CC Sabathia where there was a total of 44 strikeouts in the game. Sabathia struck out 24 of my guys, and my pitcher got 20 strikeouts. It's very unrealistic.

I don't know how to explain keeping my log going so long. I just love playing it. I try to keep it as realistic as I can with the players I acquire through trade or free agency. I think the realism of it helps me keep wanting to play it.

Also, sorry about all the high scoring games and losses lately. Since I win just about every game I sim, the only way I can keep it a close race in the standings is to lose most of the games I play, and that requires giving up a lot of runs since I score a lot of runs. I currently have CPU contact on Lock-On 2, and I think I have for a while, which would explain why I lost so badly to the Rays in the ALDS.
