All of the expansion pitchers look good until they get a chance to play... Then their stats are awful.

And I suppose I can switch agents in this case. I am going to announce a rule starting next season that you can only drop an agent when they aren't an important player in the lineup (starting pitchers, closers, starting fielders), but this season is almost over and I doubt Clontz is going to be keeping the closer role next year with how he's been doing...

Time for September call-ups, which means Grindell and Enochs time!

I typically don't use September call-ups that much in this game, especially when it comes to prospects with good potential. If the ROTY rules were done correctly in this game I wouldn't mind so much. But I want them both, especially Grindell, to be eligible for ROTY in the future, so I'll have to wait to use them later.

I know Grindell will be in the MLB as the starting catcher next year, I'm not sure about Enochs though, he may be, but I might need more training for him first.

I'm pretty sure the way it works in this game is one game takes away ROTY chances for next year. And I don't like to give up the chance at an award just for a couple players to play in a few games that really won't make a difference.

Could you bench Reynolds so I can get rid of him? He's annoying me with his terrible play.

Terrible play? Aside from the low average, he's been pretty good

I expected a much better batting average.

You expected too much. This is an expansion team.

Roma is playing above what I expected of him.

Actually I'm dropping Tremie because he's not an important part of the team, reliever.

September 30th:

Toronto Blue Jays (84-77) at Nashville Venom (63-98)

In the last game of the season, neither team was going to make the playoffs and both would look to end the season on a winning note. The Blue Jays were able to get the win though, over the extremely poorly motivated Venom team. The turning point was in the 7th inning, the Venom had a 1-0 lead and Stanley needed to pitch 1 more shutout inning to let the relievers take over, but he could not, he allowed the Blue Jays to tie the game so he had to pitch another inning, and allowed 4 runs in the 8th as the Blue Jays pulled away with a 5-1 win.

Blue Jays: 5
Venom: 1

Win: Janssen (4-3)
Loss: Stanley (7-10)
HR: Rios (28)

Venom Box Score:

Reynolds: 0-4
Butron: 2-4
Roma: 1-4, 2 K
Trammell: 0-4
Stults: 1-4
Deardorff: 0-4, R
Ormond: 2-4
Tortolero: 1-3
Rottino: 1-3, 2B, RBI, K

Stanley: 8 innings pitched, 14 hits, 5 runs, 0 strikeouts, loss
Menchaca: 1 inning pitched, 0 hits, 0 runs, 0 strikeouts

---

The Wings catcher, Norton, won Rookie of the Month for September.

The only positive thing the Venom team can think of is "At least we didn't lose 100 games".

Sain and Brewer had nice years off the bench.

I'm astonished that the closer led the team in saves.

I think it is safe to say that Roma was the team MVP this year. He led the team in four categories.

Stanley did alright. Pretty average.
