Azul wants a 2% increase in salary from last year in order to cover anklet-related expenses.

Azul's salary went from 390 to 800.

Pepper has a contract for 3 billion dollars over 3 billion years with an option for every year.

On the first day of the Free Agency period, the Stranglers sign Mark Prior to a 4 year, $12,600,000 (1260 points) deal. Many people criticized interim GM, Joey Yost's desicion. He had this to say,
"Mark's been great in the past. Will he be fighting for a rotation spot? Probably not. He'll help us in the bullpen."
Prior says he thinks he will be fighting for a spot on the 25 man roster.

It's Moose Hunting Season! Mussina Lands in Scranton.

Returning for his 18th big league season, Mussina is coming over from Cincinatti. Today he was signed to a 1 year, $7,666,000 (7660 points) deal. He will provide great leadership replacing Tim Wakefield. Right now it looks like Mussina will be their number two starter. Yost has gotten two veterans adding much needed experience to this team.
