I'm going to bump him up one spot, and I'll see if it affects his preformance.

Both Mauer and Nathan are pleased with their performances.

As for Mauer batting second, he believes it's because of his on-base skills, so that his teammates such as Morneau can get more ribbies ;)

That's part of it, too. He's helping us in several ways by batting in the 2 hole.

Happy Memorial Day, everybody. I hope you all have a great one.

First, some breaking news:

Slowey To Get Spot Start

MINNESOTA-Nick Blackburn said he feels "90 to 95 percent today," and with the surrounding rumors that Hideo Nomo (2-2, 3.97) might not have a starting job by the end of the month, long reliever/spot starter Kevin Slowey (1-2, 3.86) will start Game 4 against the Red Sox at the Metrodome.

Mauer Will Rest

MINNESOTA-Joe Mauer will sit Game 4 against the Red Sox. Ryan Doumit will bat second.

Hopefully the Mets scoop him up. :D

By the way Benny, you are doing a very nice job. One of the most active logs I have ever read, it is very interesting. Just don't make it seem like the best log ever and then have it fizzle out like sjax did.

Knuckleballs are too confusing. Why can't we just hit against a normal pitcher?

Twins (23-14) vs Red Sox (14-26)

Comeback Falls Just Short

MINNESOTA-The Twins, down 8-1, scored eight runs in the final three innings at the Metrodome, but it wasn't enough to defeat the Red Sox, 11-9. Kevin Slowey gave up three runs in five innings.

W: Wakefield (3-3)
L: Slowey (1-3)
S: Okajima
MVP: D. Ortiz
HR: Lamb (9), Varitek (8)

MIN

Slowey (L): 5 IP, 3 R, 9 H, 5 Ks, BB
Crain: 1 IP, 5 R, 5 H, 3 Ks
Lamb: 3-5, HR, 2B, 3 RBI, 2 R, K
B. Harris: 4-5, 3 RBI, 2 R

BOS

Wakefield (W): 6 2/3 IP, 3 R, 9 H, 4 Ks
Timlin: 2/3 IP, 4 R, 3 H, K, BB
Varitek: 3-5, HR, 2B, 3 RBI, 2 R, 2 Ks
Youkillis: 2-5, 2 RBI, 2 R

Finally, the Royals have hit the .500 mark. We'd better watch out—they've closed the gap to THREE GAMES!

Guilty as charged.
Wait, my logs were that good? :D

I think I may start one up today, unsure. Think I'll go with an expansion team...

I think you should do a middle-of-the-road team. I find them easier to follow—you don't know if they'll win or lose. But that's just me.
