Player Update

They got off the bus in D.C. late for their White House celebration.

Sgt. Pepper: Don't worry, men. I know an underground shortcut.

5 seconds later.

Paul: Whoa! The White House.

Sgt. Pepper: You boys look around. I have stuff to do.

Chris: Hey, Raul, John, let's follow the Drill Sergeant.

Raul: Sounds stupid.

John: You're going.

Raul: Yes, sir.

Pepper walked down a bunch of hallways and through a bunch of doors into a bathroom.

Raul: You two made me walk for two hours for this ?!

Chris: Shhh! Just watch.

Pepper slipped into a secret passage to a secret underground tunnel.

The others followed.

The President: Pepper! You're late.

Pepper: I'm sorry Mr. President. I needed to make sure no one was following me.

President: Never mind. First order of business: How are the anklets?

Pepper: Had 'em taken off by Agent X, in Norway.

Young Secret Agent: That would be me, sir.

President: Perfect.

Pepper: All except for Azul.

President: The Blue Grandmother? What's wrong with him?

Older Secret Agent: That's where I come in. He spray painted his anklet blue so we couldn't get it off without killing him.

President: Then why didn't you kill him?

Pepper: Mr. President!

President: I was kidding, Pepper. Cool your jets man.

Older Secret Agent: That's not in my "Hip Lingo Used By Kids Today" book, sir.

President: It doesn't matter. Pepper!

Pepper: Sir, yes, sir!

President: This older gentleman to the right of me is stepping down from his position here.

Pepper: You mean Agent Cool is retiring?!

President: Yes, and I want you to be his replacement.

Agent Cool: Whaddya mean I'm retiring?! I never said that!

President: Yes you did, you just don't remember. Remember?

Agent Cool: Oh yeah.

Pepper: I'm sorry President (Insert future President's name here), but I can't leave these guys. I just can't do it.

Raul: You tell him Drill Sgt.!

Agent X: What was that?!

President: Probably Abe Lincoln's ghost.

Agent Cool: I'm pretty sure honest Abe wasn't Indian.

President: You would know cause your so old. Oh, Pepper you're still here. You're dismissed. See you later. You can take our Scranton Representative job.

Pepper: As you wish.

*Pepper leaves*

President: So Pepper's gone soft, eh? X, you get the job!

Agent X: I'll prove to be far superior over Pepper!

Raul: THAT'S IT!MY MANAGER ISN"T SOFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Raul attacked the President, but was easily defeated by Agents X and Cool. He was arrested for attempted assassination.

Chris: We-eeeell. It looks like we're late.

John: Yeah, let's go!

TO BE CONTINUED............

Part Deux

President ------: Is everyone here?

Pepper: I believe so.

President: Let's begin.

Summary of President's speech: Great team. Blah, blah, blah. Great people. Blah, blah, blah. Corny joke. Fake laughs. God Bless America.

Things didn't go very well for the Stranglers in reality.

Chris and John were so nervous that they would be arrested next for conspiring with Raul. Paul fell asleep standing up because he was so bored. Azul walked out in protest of the immigration laws. Sgt. Pepper was still conflicted over the job offer. All he did was fix his tie, smile and nod. Brian dropped the F-Bomb. Not the word (though he dropped that a few times too) a fake bomb fell out off his pocket. Two secret service dudes tackled him, but they touched his beard and started crying.
Then when they gave the President his jersey, they spelled his name wrong.

Afterwords the Sgt. screamed and hollered, but didn't seem to get through.

Later Mr. Goldman walked in.

Goldman: After hearing of his arrest, Raul Gaddaba has been traded to the Cardinals for cash.

Brian: What the f---?!

Mick: Brian, pick up your F-bomb. You dropped it.

Brian: Oh sorry. I'll have to get the hole in my pocket fixed.

Ringo: *budumcrash!*

Joey: Bono has also been trades to the Cardinals.

Brian: Holy S---!

Keith: Brian, watch your mouth.

Bono was in tears. He hated the Cardinals almost as much as he loved the Stranglers.

TO BE CONTINUED....

Today was Yu Darvish's first big league start.

Things started off okay, but Darvish ran into trouble when both John Lennon and Pablo Sanchez made errors. He then allowed an RBI single to Matt Diaz and Tim Hudson before stranding two. Braves lead 2-0

No one scored until the eighth when Echiavarria, the, rookie was sent in to pitch after Darvish was pinch hit for. He let up three runs and the final score was 5-0.

LP: Yu Darvish
MVP: Hudson

Ha, Wilson got a save too. I didn't see that before.

Pablo: Oh, those tacos do me good.
Wilson: Jeez. My own agent thought it was spring training after I just got done telling him a half hour story about us winning the World Series this year.

Stranglers Win Another Extra Inning Game: 10-7

The Stranglers have a flair for dramatics, they do. Two extra inning games in a row.

The Stranglers got a 4-0 lead, but Mike Mussina gave up six runs in his first start. The Stranglers were losing 6-4.

Kennedy lead off the sixth with a solo shot and Ryan Howard followed with a home run of his own, tying the game. The Stranglers strung a few base hits together to knock in another run making it 7-6.

Wilson came in for the save, but blew as the Dodgers tied the game at seven. Kennedy homered with Sanchez on base making it 9-7 and Howard homered after making it 10-7.

Echevarri, the rookie, came in to finish the game off.

WP: Wilson
LP: Beimel
Save: Echevarri
MVP: Kennedy

Stranglers Open Up At Home Against Mets
Stranglers: 8
Mets: 7

Today the Stranglers opened up at home and received their World Series rings against the arch rival Mets. Yu Darvish was making his second start of the season against "El Duque" Orlando Hernandez.

Darvish got off to a rocky start and could never quite recover. He gave up two runs in the first, but it could have been more. In the second he loaded up the bases the next thig you know , Jose Reyes hit a three RBI triple. George Harrison ran into the wall and had to be taken out of the game for a right shoulder bruise and concussion like symptoms. Reginald McLeary replaced him. Rocky Racoon came in giving up two runs, but one was unearned.

The Stranglers were down 2-0, but Ringo Starr hit a rare home run and Chris Kennedy followed with a homer of his own. 2-2. The Stranglers were down 6-2 when Keith Richards blasted a home run to the deepest part of the park in left center field.

The Stranglers were down 7-3 in the eighth. Echevarri and WildThing helped shut down the Mets so now it was the offense's turn. The Stranglers pieced together singles and doubles to make it 7-7. In the bottom of the ninth, Paul McCartney had to pinch hit for WildThing after Pepper had used up all his bench. He worked the count to 3-2, but grounded out to third. Two batters later, Ringo Starr came up with no one on and two outs. Withthe game tied, Starr hit an opposite field blast off the left field pole to win the game.

WP: WildThing
LP: Burgos
MVP: Starr
