Probably top draft picks of 2008, both Beckhams (Tim and Gordon), Posey, Alvarez, Brett Wallace, Jemile Weeks. Those are just a few.

As many draftees/callups from 2008-2013 as you feel like, I would say. The more updated, the merrier.

Hey guys, minor update. I am not going to be making any logs this weekend, but I am not being lazy. I am creating players for the 2009 season and I've made a couple so far. I think you guys will like them when I post them on Sunday (or today who knows).

Carlos: Another day, another win. Man I haven't had this much fun in so long!

Rex: It's crazy. Coming up to the big leagues, I thought it would be harder than college, but look at us. Were both getting hits and taking names. Knock on wood.

Knock knock

I reached for my street clothes and put them on. They always felt a little softer after a nice win. It was about 11:15 and there was no real need for putting them on, but who knows when a time will come. All I was thinking about was some Mickey D's then heading straight to bed. I don't know about Rex. He might hit up a club or two with all his energy. If he does I hope our game is another late-nighter or else he's gonna be one groggy son of a gun.

Carlos: Hey Rex, I'm just gonna grab some grub them head to the hotel. You say you were getting a ride from Velez?

Rex: Yeah. Velez am I still rolling with ya?

Velez: Yeah man. I don't know if we headin' straight back doe.

Rex: Ight' man. Be seeing ya back at the hotel. Peace peace.

I walked out of the clubhouse and into the players parking lot. A cool San Diego gust greeted me as soon as a I walked out. There wasn't any cameramen which was nice. It was quiet, the only sound I heard was footsteps. There were mine, then there was another pair. I figured it was one of the guys.

As I kept walking, I visualized what I was going to get at McDonalds. Should I even be going there? It's not really healthy and to be honest I don't like their burgers. They taste bland and terrible. Maybe a Fish Filet? Yeah, that sounds good. DP or Coke? Hmm, DP. No, Sprite. Do I even have enough money. I reached in my back wallet and counted some bills.

Carlos: Five, ten, thirty, fifty. Yeah I have enough.

When I stopped, I heard a clicking sound. Then footsteps. Then a man.

Man: Reconsider....

What the...?

I hid behind a car and saw the man walking. He was wearing a black suit, very sharp with pitch dark gloves. The mystery man entered the back of a limousine and the car drove away. After it left, I investigated. As I looked on the ground, I saw a man lying on the floor, blood covering the asphalt.

Adrian.

Adrian died, or Adrian killed the person?

I looked down, shocked, my jaw practically on the floor.

Carlos: Adrian?

I gave him a nudge. I turned his body as saw that there was a bullet in his right leg. A moan found its way out of his mouth. He's alive.

Carlos: Somebody! Help! Somebody get over here!

I turned an saw Rex running toward me, along with Velez.

Rex: What happened!?

Carlos: I don't know. I was walking out and saw this man. I heard a click then he drove off. There's a bullet in his leg.

Rex: We gotta get him out of here. Carlos, Euginio, grab him.

We carried him into the clubhouse and into the trainers room. We put him on the table. Rex called 911 and several trainers looked to stop the bleeding. There wasn't any publicity so one of us would have to make the announcement ourselves. It was about 11:45 now. The whole incident gave me some energy, but it was wearing off and I needed to get some rest. I wanted to stay so I positioned myself comfortably on an empty table.

Trainer: Hey Carlos, you can go back to the hotel and get some rest. We can take it from here.

Carlos: Are you sure?

I yawned.

Carlos: I think I can stay here for a little longer?

Trainer: Stay longer and you'll fall asleep here. Go on, we'll take it from here.

I exited and clubhouse again and asked Rex to send my condolences to Adrian if he woke. The temperature had dropped a little and when I stepped outside I was sucker punched by a gust. It probably gave me enough energy to get back to the hotel. I found the local sports station and listened on the way back.

Host: This Carlos Richardson kid out of CAL? I don't see it. He had some success and the Giants have felt like it was his time. He has had a good stretch but believe me when the May hits this kid is gonna fall like a sack of bricks. Same with his buddy Rex White. He is getting absolutely lucky with these steals. Put him against an Ivan...

I shut it off.

The next morning I awoke to a series of texts, all related to the Adrian shooting. Teammates, coaches, my dad. I turned on the TV and got out of bed. I looked at the channel guide and hit the number for ESPN. It had Baseball Tonight, how convenient. They were talking about nothing but the shooting. Apparently Rex made a statement this morning. Adrian even spoke and said that he would be able to play the last game of the series. Doctors disagreed, but he didn't and said he would take BP in the afternoon.

This guy is a freak. I love it.

The San Francisco Giants radio station KNBR 680 recently expressed how the Giants finished their April and their expectations versus realities. Here was that conversation:

Announcer 1 (Bob Fitzgerald): The new look Giants finally ended their first season with a 19 and 10 record and I have to say these guys have went above and beyond my expectations. I thought we would have been a second or third place team at this point because of all the new additions. They just never got a chance to mold together as a group, but they proved me wrong for sure.

Announcer 2 (Rod Brooks): Honestly I think you have to look at the source of all this, Brian Saebean. This guy is like a mad scientist who got all the right chemicals and created this super team. And he had the guts to start two rookies in the outfield?

Bob: That may have been what has suprised me the most was these two guys, Carlos Richardson and Rex White. These guys, it looks like they picked up where they left off in college and they're making pitchers look silly.

Rod: I feel as it wouldn't be right if I didn't give props to Bochy as well. He has taken complete advantage and created a new strategy around Carlos and Rex. I like to call it the 1-3 punch. If White gets on, it's pretty much a run. He'll swipe second, Gerut or Roberts will put him on third then Richardson brings him home. Richardson has a boatload of RBI's already and that 1-3 Punch is the reason for it.

Bob: I heard you say Gerut and he has been one of the players slowly creeping up on this team. Over the last couple of days he and Roberts have been rotating between starting and I've got to say he's done an excellent job.

Rod: Well he's done more than an excellent job and he's done all the Giants wanted him to do. He's hit for average, plays defense, and can swipe bases when you need it.

Bob: Gerut isn't the only Giants off the bench that has provided. Velez, Aurilia, and Holm have all done a great job.

Rod: Now let's get into the rotation, another part of Seabean's experiment. Adding Justin Verlander opens up so many more doors for the Giants. I mean this guy can blow you away with that fastball and then get you looking silly with that curve. That curve is getting better to so in a couple of years he could have the talent to be Cy Young worth.

Bob: Now don't forget about the other four guys in the rotation. Cain, Lincecum, Robertson, and Lowry have all done outstanding jobs for the G-Men. They provided valuable innings, they make the bullpen's job a little easier which can go a long way during this 162 game season.

Rod: Now who has really stood out to me is Cain. He is the unofficial ace of the rotation and give the Giants a great start every time he goes out there. He should have about four wins right now, but the bullpen just can't seal it for him.

Bob: Now who do you think got the better of the trades?

Rod: I think the Giants got the better of both of them. The Padres do have Winn and Castillio hitting great and keeping them in the division race, but Rowand is not being used at all! Sort of a head scratcher. Zito does have five wins with the Tigers, but his ERA is pretty high. I do think that it will go down, but until anybody that is not a Giant proves to me they're better I'm saying the Giants came out the winners.
