Today, the Mendenhals took on the New York Yankees in their season opener. The game was broadcast on National TV, and Robert managed to catch it on DVR. Here's the recording of that game:

Robert also stated after the game that he's going to be holding a press conference the next day before the second game with the Yankees. He asked that any questions be submitted in this thread.

I would now like Suezo's practice changed to Run Speed.

MENDENHALS AGREE TO MINOR LEAGUE CONTRACT WITH SP BROOKS

Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Mendenhals agreed today, after their 3-2 loss to the Yankees, to a 1-year, $10,000 minor league contract with SP Andrew Broooks.

Brooks' scouting report says that he has up to an 82mph fastball, with decent breaking pitches, but he intimidates batters, and does pretty good against lefty batters. He does, however, relax a bit against weak hitters, and doesn't finish games out well.

Brooks said after he got signed that he was happy to join the team. GM Robert Tomlinson was not available for comment.
