Yeah, it's probably just 1 year. I forget what it said when I signed him.

I am SO sorry about the delay. I've been playing plenty but never had the time to finish game 2.
Cubs Drop 2 to Reds
Lieber, Zambrano losing pitchers
The Cubs lost the first 2 games in a 4 game series against the Reds. John Lieber and Carlos Zambrano were the unfortunate losing pitchers in the games, both 1-run losses. The Cubs hope to split the series in the next 2 days. Manager Lou Piniella was available for comment, but nothing he said was curse-free. :D
The Cubs are currently 3rd in the NL Central, with the Brewers and Reds both 1 game ahead and tied for the lead.

Cubs Will Not be Swept!
Lilly vs Mercker
Both teams scored a run in the 1st, but Aramis Ramirez supplied the key hit with a 2-run homer in the third. Ted Lilly dominated for 7 innings, and Fukudome and Soto helped out with homers of their own.

Again, I'm very sorry. I forgot to save so I had to replay games 2 and 3 before I could get an update for you guys.
Cubs Split Series
Dempster vs Belisle
Solo shots by Brandon Phillips and Alfonso Soriano in the 2nd inning gave each team an early run. Derrek Lee broke the tie in the 4th with another solo homer. Alfonso Soriano padded the lead with yet another 1-run homer, and it was smooth sailing from there Ryan Dempster left in the 6th with elbow pain, but the bullpen managed to hold the Reds offense. In the 8th inning, Soriano hit his 250th career homerun and his 4th homerun of the game, joining the 250 club and the 4 club in the same at-bat.

I got an update this weekend, but the site was down, so i videotaped it instead. As soon as I can get it to play audio, I'll put it on youtube for you to see. Anyway:
Rich Hill on DL
Starter out for 15 Days
In yesterday's game, Rich Hill left early with elbow pain. This injury will cause him to miss 14 days, so he has been placed on the 15-day DL. During Hill's abscence, Sean Marshall will take his place in the rotation while Randy Wells will be called up from AAA Iowa to be the long reliever.

Cubs Cough up Lead One too Many Times
Marquis vs Rodriguez
Aramis Ramirez quickly gave the Cubs the lead in the 1st with a 3-run homer. In the 2nd, The Astros came back with a 2-run shot by Hunter Pence. An RBI single in the 4th by Derrek Lee gave the Cubs some breathing room, only for Jason Marquis to blow the lead by giving up another 2-run blast to the struggling Carlos Lee. The Cubs came back right away with a Geovany Soto RBI hit. Marquis left in the 5th with elbow pain, but Derrek Lee launched a longball worth 3 runs. Randy Wells did excellent in his first Major League outing, but gave up a 2-run lead in the 8th inning. Poor Eric O'Flaherty gave up a walk-off home run to Lance Berkman in the bottom of the ninth, and was saddled with the loss.

I want to be Soto's and Dempster's agent.

Soto wanted me to tell you that you are overworking him too much and you should get him a backup who doesn't suck.

And Dempster is telling me that Soto and Blanco were figthint in the locker room so you better make it quick.

You've been added to the agents list
I'm trying to get rid of Blanco, but he's too awful and overpaid for anyone to accept a trade for him. I'm working on a success mode catcher who's a fielding specialist. Hopefully, he won't cost much and I can just release Blanco.

Cubs Take Series vs Astros
Lieber vs Cassel
Reed Johnson and Geovany Soto had a day off as Matt Murton and Henry Blanco filled their spots in the lineup. The first run came from an RBI single by Kosuke Fukudome. A Mark DeRosa double made it 2-0. Matt Murton capped off the rally after reaching on an error after DeRosa advanced on a passed ball. The next inning was highlighted by a 2-RBI hit by none other than John Lieber. On the mound, Lieber lasted 7 innings, giving the bullpen a much-needed day off. Kerry Wood was able to record his 4th save of the year.
