GENERAL MANAGER OFFICE

"He arrived now? That's great! Thanks for letting me know. Please direct him to Becky's office. Alright. Thanks. Bye."

Robert had just completed a new signing for a highly-touted right fielder, Blake Carter. Or was it Brandon? He wasn't quite sure, but he knew the last name was Carter. As usual with his other signings, he directed them to manager Becky Fox's office to have her introduce the new player to the team, as he was just directing his secretary to do.

A few minutes later, as Robert was about to leave for the day, his secretary buzzed again. "Robert, Ms. Fox would like to talk to you for a moment."

"Alright," Robert said in a bit of a shocked voice, "send her in."

Becky then came in, and she was not in a happy mood. She slammed the door to his office behind her, and started ranting at Robert, which she was very good at. Just ask the members of Powerful University's Debate team.

"ROBERT," she started, "FOR THE LOVE OF ZERO GIBSON'S FRIENDSHIP APPOINTMENTS, WHY DO YOU ALWAYS HAVE ME INTRODUCE A NEW PLAYER TO THE TEAM?!" That was all Robert got out of it, as it was also laced with words that are unfit for transcripts. You can also just ask the Powerful University Debate team about that, as well.

"Holy moley, Becky," Robert calmly said, "slow down. Calm down. What is it?"

With that, Becky's rage seemed to diminish. "Look, Robert, why don't you go and introduce the new player to the team? I'm sick and tired of going down into the locker room, what with a couple of the players teasing me a bit."

"Teasing?" Robert said, puzzled, "I haven't heard anything about the players teasing you, Becky."

"You know who they are," Becky said with a slightly less enraged look than when she came in in the first place, "now, let's get you down to the locker room to introduce Brandon-"

"Blake."

"You sure it's not Brandon?"

"It's Blake. Trust me."

"Whatever, c'mon," Becky said as she practically dragged Robert by his shirt collar.

"Wait, no," Robert pleaded, "I got stuff to do at home! For YouTube!"

"I don't care," Becky replied.

"But it's my new Mario Party 9 Let's Play!"

"I SAID, I. DON'T CARE!"

With that last bit of rage, Becky dragged Robert down to the locker room. Besides, he never has met the team yet...

LOCKER ROOM

After dragging Robert down all 3 flights of stairs from the GM's office to the locker room, Becky practically drop-kicked him into the middle of the room.

"Damn," said one of the starting pitchers, dishnetkid, "did that fine-looking lady just literally drop-kick you in here?"

Alright, so it wasn't just practical. It was literal.

"Yeah," Robert replied, "I guess so. Listen, I wanted to introduce to you-"

"A new player?" Cy Seville finished, "Yeah, we've been through this before."

"You wanna know something," said third baseman Colton Bartlett, "I bet he kicks ass, just like Becky did to this dude!" Chortles of laughter soon followed.

"Yeah, yeah, very-" Robert started.

"Funny," Cy finished.

"Say," starting pitcher MLBPPWorld said, "who are you anyway? We've never seen you before."

"Heh, yeah, I guess I've never been in here-" Robert started again.

"Before," Cy finished.

"Could you stop doing-"

"that?"

"Yeah-"

"that."

"Whatever," Robert said. He was getting quickly annoyed with Cy's antics. He then explained, albeit with Cy Seville finishing every other sentence, that he was the General Manager of the team. He then asked everyone to introduce themselves, before he introduced the new player. After second baseman Steve Bernard, right fielder Derek Wayne, shortstop Scuba Steve, dishnetkid, Cy, Colton, relief pitcher Jeff Durham, and backup shortstop Spider-Man went, starting pitcher MLBPPWorld went.

"Hello, Robert, I'm MLBPPWorld, the team's ace pitcher-"

"NOT TRUE," said maccrash21, the teams #2 pitcher, "i'm the ace pitcher, sir."

"Anyway," MLBPPWorld started again, "me and him have been duking it out over who's the ace pitcher of the team, but I'm listed as the #1 pitcher, making me the ace of the team. Nice to meet you, Robert."

Relief pitcher Vernon Brewer was next. "Hello," Robert said, "what's your name?"

"Wat?" Brewer replied.

"Wait, what?" Robert asked. He wasn't the best at understanding him, but he just met him.

"Er, mah neem's Var- Ver- Vernahn Brooer." Brewer said.

"Alrighty then, nice to meet you," Robert said. "Alright, it says that a Daniel Potter is next?" He asked this, since he couldn't find him.

"Over here," the DH, Daniel Potter, said.

"How'd you get over here?" asked Robert.

"Magic. I used to have my own program on TV."

"Never seen it."

"Really? I was famous!"

"Nope, I've never seen it."

Potter sighed and took his seat. Reliever WildThing Jr. was next.

"Hello," Robert said to him, "what's your name?"

"Ya wanna know my name, bub," WildThing replied, "you wanna know it?"

"Yeah, I kinda do," Robert replied nicely.

"The name's WildThing Jr., and if you don't give me at least fifty innings of work this year, I swear I'll get the mob to-"

"Alright," said starter Ian Bannister, "that's enough, WT. Oh, by the way, I'm Ian Bannister, the #6 starter. Nice to meet you, Robert," as he tried to restrain WildThing.

"Nice to meet both of you," said Robert, as he heard the faint noise of extremely loud rap music from across the room.

"Excuse me," Robert said to the person playing the rap music. After he didn't look up, he then raised his voice, "EXCUSE ME?!" That got his attention. It also caused utility player Yuudai Aoi to run out of the locker room at practically warp speed.

"What is it?" said the person.

"What's your name?" Robert asked.

"Darren Escobar, backup catcher, nice to meet you," he replied, then immediately went back to his rap music.

After a few more introductions, including first baseman Tim Inidator betting Robert he would hit 40 homers this year, pinch hitter Jack Suezo practicing his telekinesis on Robert (which creeped out the entire locker room), and left fielder Mitch Anderson asking him if he knew the formula for WAR, he asked if everybody was ready to meet the new player.

"Um," said more than a couple players he hasn't met, including Jimmy Panther, Angel Garcia, and Steve Barnes, "not really..."

"Great!" Robert then said, completely ignoring the 4 who collectively said "Um," "Then, here's your new player, Mr. Blake Carter!"

Everybody applauded as Blake walked in to the room.

"Hello, everybody," Blake started, "how are you guys doing? I'm Blake Carter, and I'm apparently going to be platooning with Mr. Wayne over here. Really? I should be starting. I'm, like, the next coming of the Bambino, and I'm PLATOONING with this loser? I just want this team to get the W, and that's what I really care about. Go Mens!"

"Heh, heh," dishnetkid muttered, "Mens."

Blake then took his seat at his new locker, Robert regretting it since it was next to Wayne, and he dismissed the players, ending the meeting.

As Robert got home that night, he said to himself, "Geez, with all these personalities, how are we in first place? Dang." He then turned on his camera, and started to record his new Let's Play of Mario Party 9 for YouTube.

And I think he'd be none too pleased to hear you're calling him that. Why, he was a 3-time All American at St. John's University and a top draft pick.

If you wrote "i'm" instead of "I'm" on purpose for maccrash21's line, well played.

I was talking about the actual Zero Gibson from MLBPP 07, and referencing what he says when you beat him in Year 3, in case you didn't know.

And, yes, I did the "i'm" on purpose.

Bannister needs to say "brah" more often. Though that's probably my fault for not mentioning that earlier.

Other than that, no complaints.

The Cy Seville bits were great. Good job, bro.
